Well I get the thing about the rope-a-dope but that isn't what's been happening in Oakland I don't think. We've watched Randy take plays off when he knows he isn't getting the football. He runs less than good routes and his demeanor is just crap right now. Don't say as I blame him -- he's frustrated too. But for $10 Million a year or whatever he's being paid I think we should be able to expect a little more from him. Whadda 'ya think?
I agree Bones...he's being paid the big bucks to play the game, and that's what he should do!! I've even seen some Vikings fans complain about him taking 'plays off' before....

A lot of Vikings fans told me sarcastically, "You're going to looooove him."

Most Viks fans I have communicated with hated to see Moss go. Most loved Randy Moss and what he brought to the table almost every Sunday afternoon.

On another note, I don't think I've seen to many locker room problems with Randy in the past. His teamates in general loved the guy. But that seems to be changing now or could be.

Moss has been able to get away with it because its always been part of his style. He has the kind of rope-a-dope thing going on where he lulls a CB asleep and then whoosh he's off like a rocket with his hand up. His current teammates (especially Walter) don't know how to react. When Moss came out of his break last week, he was in mid-lope when Walter threw the ball as if Moss was at full speed. They aren't on the same page.

I'm pretty much on the same page here... Moss's ability to immediately hit top speed after hitting his break at 3/4 speed made him an almost impossible cover in his heyday... Truth be known, there are very few pass patterns that WR's actually run at full speed, though Moss has always seemed to be called on it...

The number of times we've underthrown Moss during his time here is telling IMO.. I hated that Moss was so apathetic in his approach to the Browns game, but I think that was a direct result of the frustration he feels with the scheme... Kind of like Kobe not taking a single shot in the second half of the playoff game this past year... A real d*ck thing for sure, but not indicitive of the normal performance level... Unfortunately, we seem to be heading down a bumpy road with Moss and between his dislike for Walsh's scheme and trading his buddy Gabriel away, the situation may be almost beyond repair...
