Broncos waive Pryce, Anderson, Putzier
DENVER - The Denver Broncos waived running back Mike Anderson and defensive end Trevor Pryce Wednesday as well as tight end Jeb Putzier as they prepared for the start of free agency.
Pryce played nine seasons with the Broncos after the club selected him in the first round in 1997. In 121 career regular-season games, he had 391 tackles, 64 sacks and two interceptions.
Anderson, a sixth-round pick in the 2000 draft, spent six seasons with the Broncos, averaging 4.4 yards per carry with 36 rushing touchdowns. He caught 79 passes for 647 yards and five touchdowns. He led the team in rushing last season with 1,014 yards.
Putzier, a sixth-round pick in 2002, played four seasons with the Broncos, with 77 receptions for 1,087 yards and two touchdowns.
