I'm a firm believer of, "If you want your quarterback, take him in the 1st." But something has been going through my mind after looking at all the reports against Bridgewater, could he be there at 36?

Bridgewater is the best QB in the draft, plain and simple. But NFL teams doesn't take dumb shit like pro day and wonderlic lightly.

My guess on what QB-needy teams will do:

HOU - Think they're taking Bortles at 1st overall. It'll be a foolish move - but he fits Bill O'Brien's mold of big QBs, George O'Leary was O'Brien's mentor and oh, Houston hired Bortles' QB coach.

JAC - They might pass on a QB at 3rd, because reports suggest they're in love with Khalil Mack.

CLE - Reportedly want Carr (at 26).

MIN - They need a QB, just probably won't take one in the 1st, would likely wait for Mettenberger in the 2nd.

If all of those things go accordingly, Bridgewater could actually be there in the 2nd... which would allow Greg Robinson at 5.

Gotta wonder if Houston isn't thinking the same thing though and goes with Clowney first overall though. It's also hard to believe Minnesota would wait that long for a QB when it looks like they could basically have the pick of the litter at their first pick. I think trading down and then back into the first is our best shot a TB if he makes it past the Vikings.

Houston's hoping for Bortles in the 2nd but I would not be surprised if NE drafted him if he was still there.

I agree with this but would rather just nail the first pick and see what is there in the second.

I'm watching something on ESPN called the college challenge or some shit. Who is the QB out of Virginia Tech? Guy is huge with a laser rifle arm!

If Teddy falls to #36...

1. I'll more or less assume I've teleported to Bizarro World.

2. I'll have a mild panic attack while waiting for the pick.

3a. If we take him, I'm gonna have to change my shorts.

3b. If we pass on him, I'm gonna need a new team. At least until Reggie gets the axe.

Preferably upward, not toward the TV.

Haven't had a beer shower after one of our picks since, like, forever.

So RuTeddy is going to be this years Geno Smith? More hyped and liked by the draft community than the NFL scouts?

I think Andy Reid would take a hard look at him in the bottom of the 1st and I don't know if he gets by the Jags on the wrap around in the 2nd...

In other words . . . no beer shower for you!

Agreed. No way Bridgewater falls to 36, or we are all in Bizarro World. Not. Going. To Happen.

My fear is that if Carr falls that far...

sigh.

We're fucked?

Still looking for a QB after year 3 of the current train wreck. FML

Has more upside at TE than Pryor, though.
