Boerigter will join Packers
The Kansas City Star
The Chiefs’ thin receiving corps grew even thinner when Marc Boerigter agreed to a one-year deal with Green Bay.
Boerigter’s agent, Craig Domann, announced the signing Sunday.
Boerigter, who had eight catches for 119 yards and no touchdowns last season after missing the entire 2004 season because of a knee injury, was an unrestricted free agent. He also visited with Tampa Bay.
Boerigter, a 27-year-old native of Hastings, Neb., signed with the Chiefs as a free agent in 2002 after two years in the Canadian Football League. He had a team-best eight touchdown catches that season.
