They should just make it illegal to kill people. Seriously though, anyone not deterred by that basic morality and/or law won't be deterred by some silly gun regulation.

gun violence is all over the place. Some places with strict regulations have tons of shooting while others have less shootings. When Britian enacted gun legislation, murders actually increased. I haven't really seen evidence of its effectiveness. What I see here is places with the most gun laws have the most crime. I know there are tons of factors that influence violence but it isn't something that seems to be effective.

I got arrested ~20 years ago for having a pool cue in my backseat. The charge? Possession of a concealed weapon after a felony.

Laid across the backseat, in full view = Concealed

Pool stick: Weapon

So you got nothin. I haven't looked into this in quite a while so maybe things have changed but many of the most violent countries have strict gun laws. With Britian, they always had low homicide rates and when they implemented gun legislation, it only went up a little bit.

There was this dumb cop who pulled me over and questioned why I had baseball bats in my car. I said "to play baseball." He said "where are the gloves and balls?" I replied "do I need the whole team here to prove it to you?" and laughed at him. They are so stupid.
