Now there was some offensive play calling... Leinart just worked the bears D over on that opening drive.

Man, the Cards are really doing a good job of setting Leinart up for success... I wish we could do the same for Wally.

I dunno if we have the talent to help him as much, but the cards have called a real nice game so far.

This is the second time I've seen Leinert as a pro, and the second time I've been impressed with him.... Kinda got a Tom Brady vibe to him... As Natty has said many a time, he seems to have 'IT'.... The Cards are indeed doing a good job of putting him in the shotgun and giving him playcalls he can build a comfort level with...

Seeing as I'm an SC fan that really thought his off field carousing and tendancy to float the ball over the middle would be a big problem, I think from now on I'll stick to linemen and backers and leave the QB draft analysis to others cause apparently I blow at it...

I never believed he had a real NFL arm, but it looks plenty strong to me now.

I wouldn't be surprised if Walter looked good aswell surrounded by this kinda talent... I mean, IMO he's looked pretty good with the absolute absence of talent and creativity he's experiencing in Oakland, so I'm not longing for Leinart by any means.

It's just friggin frustrating that we can't even seem to supply Walter with a reliable set a hands at the moment.

At any rate, for a guy that came in late and is starting his second game, Leinart is making this offense look good against that solid D.

I blow at QB evaluation, too. I said I'd take Cutler over Young or Leinart and thought Leinart was a system QB. Wow.

Has anyone noticed a dropped pass on Leinart yet tonight?

yea, you look great when they help. Our issue isnt qb. Its the team. none of these qb's can save this clusterfuck. Only chance you have in this scenario is a veteren gannon type who can damn near call his own plays.

Just got out of the movies and found out Leinart and his Cards are hammering the Mighty Bears 17-0.

Looks like the kid has some polish from what the announcers were saying.

I thought Zona had a shitty OL.

its not great. but once again they are getting those passes out there quick and efficiently.

19 runs 18 passes. 7 catches by boldin for 76 yards with the largest being 26. they are being very safe with the passes and their defense is holding up. Damn Walsh i can only hope you study this game.:(

You could tell that Leinart had "it" at USC. Even when the guy fumbled, it was the best possible play he could make. Some may recall the play I'm talking about.

But, I'm with Byron. I don't regret not taking the guy. I like what we have and I think AWAL would do pretty damn well with that team too.

20-0, and AZ gets the ball to start the 2nd half.

Yeah and so does "Touchdown Jesus"...

I don't see it.

Quinn has been up and down his whole career. I wouldn't put him in Leinart's league at this point.

I don't either... yet... I like the poise and vision AW has shown, but I'm praying that both Huff and Walter work out otherwise we'll be hearing about how we passed on Leinart for a LONG time... Leinart just looks like he's going to be special....

Hard to disagree... Just giving AW more high percentage throws ala the short dump and run to Boldin would do his game wonders... Too bad Porter messed up because he's the big body you could squat in space to give Walter the go to guy he really needs...

Be nice if one of our coaches notice the advantage the shotgun gives a young QB and puts it in our vocabulary...

No doubt Leinart would look like shit in Oakland.

Look at these two games.

I can't recall seeing a dropped pass, turnover, or offensive penalty for the cards all night.

Never mind the crappy offensive design, Walter is constantly burdened with long yardage situations and stalled drives due to dumbass penalties and drive killing drops... I don't even know that any of the recievers and TE projects we trot out there for him really know how to get themselves open on this level, and making a catch other than the ball sticking in their facemask seems to be a 50/50 proposition so far this season.

Walter's just not getting support from any part of the organization at this point.. and he still looks poised and makes some really nice throws in spite of it...

Be nice if Walter had a Kurt Warner type ,selfless pro to teach him the tricks of the trade too...

You put Walter in TB, SD or Ariz and the guy would be putting up nice numbers. So much for crappy wideouts from FSU. Boldin is a freak.

Third and 15, Boldin skyin to bring in that pass... see, those are the kinda plays that Moss should be making for Wally...

gannon woulda been nice. I know gannon is against coaching. but as a qb coach i think he could be fairly useful to walter w/o having to be missing too much time at home..

Leinart really doing a nice job with his progressions and checking down.
