Raiders Head Coach Art Shell is the Motorola NFL Coach of the Week for Week 7 of the 2006 regular season.

Raiders Head Coach Art Shell has been named Motorola NFL Coach of the Week for games played in Week 7 of the 2006 regular season via fan voting on NFL.com. Brad Childress of the Minnesota Vikings, and Gary Kubiak of the Houston Texans, were the other nominees for this week.
Coach Shell and the Raiders won the first game of his second stint as an NFL head coach, as the Raiders defeated the Arizona Cardinals 22-9 last Sunday. Oakland came out hungry, scoring the first 17 points of the game and leading 22-3 midway through the third quarter. Quarterback Andrew Walters threw for 263 yards and one touchdown, and wide receiver Randy Moss caught seven passes for 129 yards and a touchdown in the victory.
The Silver and Black dominated with a 14:00 time of possession advantage, and outgained the Cardinals 395-224. The Raiders defense held the Cardinals to just 50 yards rushing, sacked QB Matt Leinart three times and picked off two passes.
