Another spirited competition with members vying to become everyone's favorite dictator, Li'l Al Davis. There were a couple of picks that were make or break for some entries. For instance, if you foolishly had Calvin Johnson as the #1 pick, you were pretty much done. Some people nailed Zach Miller and that was helpful. But the best way to get to the front of the pack was to have Michael Bush at #100, which a few people did.

So, without further adieu, I give you the 2007 Li'l Al Davis:

Byron2112 had a winning score of 51 pts., 8 pts. ahead of the 2nd place finisher, Freakshow. He correctly nailed JaMarcus Russell, Michael Bush, and when he wasn't outright nailing the players in the rounds, he had each of the first 4 rounds correctly slotted for positional picks. The rest of you don't have any excuses. Alteredst8 & Stanny? What happened? Explain yourselves. Nips? I know you have a new kid and all, but maybe it's time to stop scouring the web for links of fat chicks bouncing on guys that eerily resemble TheNextStep and focus man! And TommyGirl... babygurl... you know that saying about making chicken salad out of chicken shit? Well, and I'm trying here, you're slightly smarter than Nips but not in hawaiianboy's ballpark. OUCH.
 
41 points and I fall into the depths with such riffraff as Jack and Turk. The shame of it all.

There are no losers in this contest, only those that didn't win (or come in 2nd). :)

I have to say, I think about this stuff way too much without getting paid for it. Great times!
 
Ok Natty...so when's the deadline for this weekends draft? I submitted my first rough draft and want to put in my final roster as you guys stand no chance. This years Little Al contest revolving around the draft on May 5th will be in the bag...Im leaning towards the Raiders taking J. Russ.:D

I bombed bad....don't listen to me, I know nothing.:p

In the spirit of full disclosure, I was entirely pulling rounds 5-7 directly out of my exit orifice in 10-15 minutes worth of research, scanning 40 times for the most part. Heh. In retrospect, even if I had picked Jamarcus in the first round, I'm pretty sure I would have gone OL/WR in the second round anyway with a DT in round 4. Sadly, that's about as far as my knowledge of the college game goes.

Kudos to all you draftniks!

Now for the shame of it all. I was beaten by HBoy (for the first time in history) but of course killed TG as per usually. Big deal.

I kinda suck at this shit but it's a hellva lot of fun.

Major props to Natty for putting on a great contest once again. Thanks you sir.

I surrender my title of Lil' Al to a very worthy competitor, and take some small pride in the fact that I didn't go down quietly!

I wish I had left Moses at 3.1 where I had him slotted the entire time. This burned me twice, as by moving him down to #99, I moved out.....Johnnnie Lee Higgins. :( I was almost a legend.

Nice Job Byron, really nailed it with that Mike Bush pick. I didn't think there was any chance in hell that we'd draft him.
