Got a feeling the years of abuse on his body either caught up to him or he relapsed. It's just a sad deal, as anyone with a loved one who is fighting or has fought an addiction can attest to. I still fucking hate the NFL for not allowing us access to Aldon when they suspended him and still think they need to fix their system on that. Guys like Aldon needed some structure and help, even if they're not able to play... basically banning the team from allowing him in the facility and being in contact with him.

RIP to him, but I doubt it would have made a difference. Also, doubt he's been sober for years. It was something I was going to ask some of the people in the Bay during that time because I've heard he was a notorious partier who threw these big house parties all the time when he was around that was full of hard drugs and liquor. He just wasn't ever going to get out of his own way. When the Seahawks last signed him, he immediately fucked up again and got cut, which was his last chance. Best case scenario is he would have grown into an old age fuckup like the real LT, but even that seemed optimistic in his case. I mean when I first saw this news, I immediately thought of him getting stabbed at his house, and that was during the height of his career. DUI crash leaving the scene. Dude just had a crazy life that went past addiction problems. Seemed to be one of those guys who didn't know where the line was or rather didn't care where it was.

They have three lawyers on it. Pretty ironic since he was obviously fucked up these last few years, but now the lawyers, the family, and everybody is like we're going to get to the bottom of this, i.e. we're going to get paid off this.

He sounds depressed as hell. Story as old as time, what do they do when the lights go out? Worse for a guy where they go out abruptly when you're still good at what you do. First thing dude asked him about was about playing football, and he hadn't played in ten years. That'd eat at your mental if you know you were responsible for fucking it up. No crazy injuries. No crazy circumstances. Just you being a fuck-up.
