Anybody Catch the Press Conference?

Please post highlights if you would...

Was talking about Walsh deciding to retire after the 49er's lost a close, early season game to the Raiders (9-3 If I remember right, I recall the game) early in the '88' season... he apparently called Al that night and told him DeBartello and him agreed he would retire... of course he went on to win the SuperBowl... Al said he told him he was nuts to retire , and gave the impression that Walsh regretted it.

Al also managed to mention that Marcus Allen fumbled on the 2 yard line in that game :p :D

is there somewhere i can listen? Oh maybe sirius nfl radio has it,,,,going there now

Al dropping F-bombs as he strolls down memory lane here...

Al looks good today.

He's taking a trip down memory lane about Bill Walsh. Al was taking questions only about the passing of Bill Walsh.

Now they are interviewing Culpepper. Towing the company line. Same 'ol shit. I mean what's he suppose to say? Looks like we can officially say Russell is a holdout.

NFL Netwrok. It's over now anyway.

Yeah, I either read or heard that Russ's agent team is "insulted" by the raiders offer... Al's reaction is to sign Culpepper :p

I think they're messin with the wrong old man.

They just showed Al at a press conference held to speak about Bill Walsh.

Some good, some bad. Seems like Davis just can't stop himself from turning every conversation into a "greatness of the Raiders" speech.

He got a few good, subtle digs in to reinforce his own agenda. Funny, but maybe not the time and place to remind everyone that Marcus Allen fumbled at the 2-yard line against the 49ers and almost cost us the game in 1988.

It cracks me up how these two are so bitter about eachother.

In the Americas Game episode on the '83' Raiders Marcus got all sour on Al for some strange reason... I mean you could see the bitterness on his face as he talked about their relationship, or lack thereof... I don't even understand why he would want to bring that up

Now Al slips this in.

You'd think these guys would give it a rest.

Both rich and famous and successfull...

Too funny.

Raiders informercial take 13,976... Roll 'em...

I don't have NFLN, but the NFL Live guys were pretty positive about this move... and Mark Schlereth gave a pretty glowing breakdown of our defense...

``the Raiders have always had the best players, the best coaches and the best owner". -Al Davis :D

Well they just had a blurb from the PC on Total Access that I didn't see before.

Al said the only problem they have with the Russell contract is they want all the money in that option bonus. Then he said "I", and pointed at himself, "I won't do it. They have to be accountable for that money".

Didn't sound like there was much room for maneuver in his statement.

Well it's all gonna change when Russell isn't getting a pay check on Fridays and Calvin Johnson and the rest of the #1's are.

We're just going to have to be patient. That is one thing Al Davis is .. patient.

The NFL has established Davis as a morning line 2-5 favorite to prevail in this one! ;)

As much as i hate Al's penchant for doing things like it is 1776 or something, I gotta admire his balls for putting his foot down. But again, he knew it was gonna be expensive to sign the #1 overall pick! He really needs to get over all this I, ME stuff. What, is he Leon or something. As much as he goes on and on about the "team" he sure is a self centered old mule!

But I guess that is why we love him, right? I dunno, time to move outta the dark ages, Al.
