Al Davis Details "The Jon Gruden Trade"

We’re gonna have to disagree.

I went to the HOT for years and years and it didn't matter. The tailgating was great but the games were even better. Yeah the bathrooms sucked but it was no big deal to me. At this point I could care less about going to the Vegas stadium to watch the garbage that's on the field.

Give me a winner I don't care if they play at Frank Youell Field! ;)

Typical @007 going off half cocked and missing the point, per usual. Revenues are an advantage. Having the shittiest stadium in terms of multiple decades, not years, also is a disadvantage. Mark did that part of his job. There was no staying at the O.

How the league shares TV revenue, I don't think it matters. It's one of the best things about the NFL as far as everyone competing. We still have a buffoon for an owner, so that's the disadvantage. Best correlation is Washington. They ooze money. They have like a couple of winning seasons in Snyder's entire time owning the team despite high ticket FAs lining up at the door. Bad ownership is bad ownership. WE have one. Good thing for us is that the Spanoses are just as incompetent. Hopefully, the WalMart people are too.

money used to matter a lot more when there was less of it. This is all sports. Now you have enough cash to be able to keep anyone you want. The Cowboys used to buy teams via FA because they had more money than anyone. Sure it helps, but it's not what it used to be.

There’s a difference between high, low, average revenue and that shit hole and the poor facilities in Alemeda. It was a negative. It detracted from winning. It might not take high revenues to win, but it was an anchor that helped foster losing. So while you discount the advantage of high revenues, you are ignoring the disadvantage of that stadium, when Mark’s only revenue is the team.

Also, I am a fan. I was never a season ticket holder. I prefer Alligiant. Taking pride in a new, well done stadium also is an intangible benefit. Everyone knew Vegas was going to be a destination for opposing fans. That is part of the experience, which ebbs and flows with winning.

You go ahead and brag about that shiny new stadium full of Chiefs fans lol. Have fun with that.

What I don’t get is half the dudes pimping the gorgeous stadium are the same ones bitching on game day when it’s filled with 80 percent of our opponents fans lmfao.

This shit was gonna happen. Vegas is a destination city. And our team sucks.

And that’s fine, but give me a good team. Until then the dummy gets zero fan credit from me. Like he gives a fuck though lol.

But enough of the bad vibes. I’m sitting here drinking coffee in the sunshine savoring the fact that dark pink and gold is suddenly no longer fashionable it appears.

Today has to be international Good Day Day.

I think we all knew that going in. If the team put a decent product on the field, the regulars won't sell their tix. It will never be the HOT but at least we would have some semblance of HF advantage. That KC game was embarrassing. When the Bucs sucked, the stadium was full of Packer and other teams fans. When we went to the Bucs game a few years ago with @DonkeyKilla , @RaiderJF and Nips, there were a decent amount of Raider fans there. Tampa and Miami are destination cities as is L.A. Who the hell wants to visit KC or Pitt in the winter?

I don't know the answer because a lot of the casinos buy season tix and give the to their good customers. Schottenheimer got the Dolts to limit the sale of single game tix so you had to buy at least two games. That would be a start I suppose, but you cant stop fans selling their tix to the opposing fans.
