25-26 Dubs quest for 5

Kerr is a good coach when all the pieces are in place. He inherited a pretty stacked roster and made it work. He's not a coach that is going to build and develop a young roster. Even if Steph, Buckets, and Moody started next season 100% healthy, they don't have the talent and youth to compete with the Western Conference teams. The front office is just delaying the inevitable and like @Chris_77 alluded to, they are on the proverbial treadmill going nowhere fast.

Well yah, his reputation for flagrant fouls is pretty well documented. Most likely cost the Dubs a shot at another title when he got into it with Lebron and was suspended for game 6 vs the Cavs.

Which to KD and a couple more rings and the complete dismantling of LeBron. Gotta take the bad with the good when it comes to Dray.

Lol, not happening bro. He's been rumored to be traded to the Dubs for the last two years. They don't have the trade assets nor draft picks, unless they want to trade away all their picks for the foreseeable future. That would just be retarded. We have no good tradable young players that teams would desire. Podz, Moody, etc are bench players. Look at OKC now. They were a cellar dweller a couple years ago, tore down the roster and now are the cream of the NBA. They actually still have two top 15 picks in this year's draft. You just can't keep delaying the inevitable and thats what Lacob is doing.

The one thing the front office has done is hold tight with the draft picks and the lottery reform has made those picks more valuable. The deal could be as simple as Jimmy B and a bunch of picks. Whether or not it's a smart deal is anyone's guess. Giannis is 31 and presumably has a few years left so it's not like it's a one year only move. Steph on a more manageable extension plus Giannis and a bunch of cap space does have some potential though. Also, Giannis is going to be able to call his shot, which really reduces Milwaulkee's leverage in a trade.

Lol. Why would Milwaukee trade for an aging and broken down Jimmy Buckets who makes over $50mm? He's toast. He might not even be ready until the middle of next season.

Lakers want to build around Luca and have a pretty solid roster and some trade pieces they can move if they want. If Giannis leaves Milwaukee, I bet he probably winds up in L.A. Much better roster and younger.

Because he's an expiring contract? Teams want a combination of three things in these situations, picks, prospects, and to not take on a bunch of garbage contracts just to salary match. It's pretty unlikely that a team is going to give up a high caliber young prospect for Giannis, so picks and expiring contracts will be the key.

The Lakers would have to gut damn near their entire roster to make that happen, plus their picks with Luka and Giannis paired up would be viewed less desirable due to making them a stronger team.

The likelihood is always small, but we have the assets to make a competitive offer.

I wish they would trade him
Might be part of a package to get whoever (Leonard, Giannis, etc.).
I'll say, some of the games I watched Podz was the best player on the court for us. I don't think he'll ever be a star but a pretty solid role player.

He's good as a role/bench player but no way is he a starter, unless in a pinch. His outside shot is just too inconsistent.

He's probably better than I give him credit for but he also drives me nuts. I just have an irrational hatred for every undersized guard we've run out there for way too many minutes over the years.

The roster is ass. We don't have one young player that any other team would be trying to acquire. Podz would be lucky to see any minutes on any of these playoff contenders. Maybe some garbage time minutes.

Lots of Giannis slander out there right now. If reports are to be believed, his knee is toast and he's a cancer. Could be that GM's are putting that out there to drive down the price, although I expect anyone interested wouldn't be taking their cues from the media. Doesn't seem like he's going to land much of a return relative to expectations though.

I’m just looking at these two teams lineups tonight. They are like 8-9 deep. We have Steph and a bunch of scrubs
