25-26 Dubs quest for 5

He really needs to. They need a coach that can develop young players and one that doesn't keep tinkering with the lineup every night.

Sounds like they are going to try to run it back with a bunch of 40 year olds in the lineup.

They need a front office that can identify talent more than anything. The only player that's left the Warriors and thrived was Ryan Rollins and that came 4 years later after getting traded, arrested, cut, and sent to the G League. Guys like Kuminga, Poole, Wiseman, etc. are the same exact players they were with Golden State.

Reports are that Kerr is 50/50 on coming back. The FO wants a multi year commitment from him. Reading between the lines, it sounds like a subtle way of encouraging him to not return. Draymond wants to opt out and sign a new deal, I'm not sure where that one lands either. Seems like the organization is ready for a changing of the guard. It wouldn't surprise me to start out one way and have things slowly coalesce around trading Steph and going into full reset.

We don't have the resources to stack the team with Steph and Dray. As painful as it is, probably better off just facing the facts and get what we can for them.

Agree. Pull the band aid off and try to rebuild this thing the right way like OKC and San Antonio did. Just don't trade Steph to the Lakers. Get what you can for Draymond. Would be crazy extending him again.

Just realized NBA playoffs started. Guess it’s time to somewhat pay attention. See if the Celtics can actually finish the job this year so I can act like I actually give a fuck about basketball and wear the old Celtics hat for a week or so.

There's no point from the organization's standpoint in moving on from Kerr if you're sticking with the current roster. There's nobody out there that's going to get more out of it than him. Names getting floated Stotts, Stackhouse, Walton... gross. Todd Gokden's name is getting kicked around but I don't see how you stick Steph and Dray with a guy with no NBA experience. I do also wonder if the Israeli stuff could be problematic in the Bay Area. Probably not, but it's a thing.

Why is Gokden Israeli or something? Warriors are stuck between a rock and hard place. Aging roster thats always hurt with a lineup of G League level players and no decent young players so to speak of. Blow the shit up already and get something for Steph and Dray while you can. They don't have the wiggle room to bring in any decent players of note.

We've been chasing for 4 years and are barely a play in team. Rip the band aid off and send Steph to a contender.
Unless LeBron and KD want to come over and chase a ring with Steph and Dray...

Dual citizen Israeli and pretty vocal about the situation over there.

Nonissue in Florida but might not play as well in the Bay Area.

Supposedly LeBron is a possibility, so there's that. Sending Steph out isn't super easy though. He makes upwards of $63m next season. You have to find a team that can take on that salary without gutting their team and also doesn't stick us with a bunch of shit contracts that impede the rebuild. So by "isn't super easy", I mean almost impossible. The most reasonable scenario is just bringing Kerr back for a year, trying to land LeBron for a year, and hoping they can stay in contention long enough for Butler to come back for a potential post season run. Then everyone just goes their way. After next season, almost all the contracts are off the books. Technically Steph could extend for cheap going forward but I'm not sure he'd be interested in being part of a complete rebuild.

I would put up with Lebron for one season, but I don't think that would be enough.

Apparently Kuminga set a plus/minus record tonight being minus 40 at the half. Meanwhile the dude we refused to trade him for, OG, is out there looking like prime Kawhi.
