MLB: Hard salary cap
NHL: Crack down on fighting
NFL: More Raider games on national TV

The obvious first move would be to remove the weighting of the lottery. There are other common sense fixes but I don't really think they're serious about fixing it, hence my amusement at the idea of Silver telling his bosses what's what. The draft actually keeps fans engaged when their team has no chance. This is really about betting anyway, IMO.

When they cut back on fighting a while back they lost some of their viewership. Never heard someone say they want less fights in hockey.

Might as well tell NASCAR drivers to slow down and not wreck so often.
