2026 Regular season roster and depth chart

Spytek being retained helps -- not losing guys who will have 10 year careers because we changed coaching staffs. And Carroll showed as a HC he had NOTHING.

Like every Gm we've had since the late Gruden (ONE) years the roster has been devoid of talent and depth. Constant churning does not help player growth. If we Porter, Lautenberg, Hemingway, Pegues, Rogers and Grant play meaningful and well, that will say a lot. Indications are that is better than 50% likely, but live games will make the call.

The other part of this is that most -- and I mean pundits and beat writers and fans -- expected Spytek to be very active on the waiver wire -- any player he wanted would be a Raider. Darrell Luter wasn't just perhaps the cream of the crop, TDL did a good breakdown of him (and the surprise 4th DE who played the best of any defensive player in all three games). Luter with some coaching may be the answer at slot corner -- he needs significant refinement in his footwork and even with that he's got promise.



And Fuck the NFL. Tape breakdown is exhibition all-22 is not shareable?

This team just is missing talent. Arguably bottom three units at D line and WR. And O-line is still very much a work in progress but at least Zuhn and Rogers provide some depth, but when you have guys like Mafi on this roster, you know the roster is miles away from competing. So far, Spytek's drafts have been very meh and he'll need some of these younger players to start performing soon, b/c the it's all Pete's fault excuse has a shelf life.

I think the Luter claim was 100% he’s a special teams upgrade over Richardson and probably less about his potential as a guy who could step in if someone went down.

I assume you mean DT rotation. Maxx, Paye, Koonce and P. Johnson stack up fine. If Paye and Koonce bounce back and produce at prior career levels opposite Maxx, we’ll be doing more than fine on the edges.
