We traded so much, how should we do this? Use the picks that we did the trading for or our original picks?

We do this every year. Time to put your nuts on the table. Everyone likes to bitch but about 11 guys put their nuts on the table each year.

What would you have done with our picks in our spot?

Here are the old ones. If you click on 2023 you get all the way back another 5-10 years.

Usually I change a whole bunch of picks as I leave most of our drafts disappointed.

This year I could have kept a bunch. Very happy with the work Spytek and crew put in. Easy B+ or A- grade for me

That being said I will start us off:

Round 1 • Pick 1 (1) QB Mendoza (No brainer)

Round 2 • Pick 6 (38) S Stukes (I really wanted to add a NT here but I think we did well. Fits matches need here)

Round 3 • Pick 3 (67) WR Branch (Give me the little fire cracker receiver/returner here. Edge can wait instead).

Round 3 • Pick 27 (91) OL Dunker (We got the position group right but I think I go with the mullet man

Round 4 • Pick 1 (101) CB McCoy (Well worth the risk here. A masterclass in risk vs reward)

Round 4 • Pick 22 (122) LB Kyle Louis (Crow sold me, especially in a nickel style defense)

Round 5 • Pick 10 (150) DT Capehart (Get my NT here. I really hate missing out on the S though)

Round 5 • Pick 35 (175) OL Coogan (Give me Mendoza's center to help with his transition)

Round 6 • Pick 14 (195) S VJ Payne

Round 7 • Pick 13 (229) LB Barton (Surprised he didnt get drafted. An actual two way player haha. LB and TE).

Loved the Hemby and Tokyo Toe UDFA picks so I'll go with Hemby as my RB behind Jeanty.

Round 1 • Pick 1 (1) Mendoza
Round 2 • Pick 6 (38) Denzel Boston I liked the Stukes pick too but Boston just seems like a good outside shoulder security blanket for our sweet precious boy
Round 3 • Pick 3 (67) Crawford, I didn't know about him as I did like no edge research at all but upon further review this is a great swing at a premium position
Round 3 • Pick 27 (91) Like @007 I like Dunker here better and also can probably play both OT and G.
Round 4 • Pick 1 (101) McCoy worth the swing here for sure
Round 4 • Pick 22 (122) I like the Washington pick, we needed a good complimentary back and he was the best available here.

Skipping the rest of it, I just don't have an opinion on players that late.

This exercise also allows you to use retrospect so, for example, if I was on the clock at 2.38 I would've taken Denzel Boston... but knowing there are a bunch of WRs I like later in the draft I'm going to take my DT and then get WRs later. Gonna just try and stay true to my 'board' and using retrospect on hitting BPA and need based on how it all fell.

Round 1 • Pick 1 (1) -- Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana
Round 2 • Pick 6 (38) -- Christen Miller, DT, Georgia,
Round 3 • Pick 3 (67) -- AJ Haulcy, S, LSU
Round 3 • Pick 27 (91) -- Chris Bell, WR, Louisville
Round 4 • Pick 1 (101) -- Jermod McCoy, CB, Tenn
Round 4 • Pick 22 (122) -- Skyler Bell, WR, UConn
Round 5 • Pick 10 (150) -- Hezekiah Masses, CB, Cal
Round 5 • Pick 35 (175) -- Anez Cooper, G, Miami
Round 6 • Pick 14 (195) -- Dametrious Crownover, OT, TAMU
Round 7 • Pick 13 (229) -- Cole Wisniewski, S, TTU

This was actually one of the harder ones to take our picks out of. Spy did good and didn't have the ability to see the future like we do. Biggest negative for me in my draft is not having Crawford or another pass rushing talent.

The only one I really have an opinion on in hindsight is Bell over Washington. Bell seems like the only WR with some actual premium upside after R1, IMO. The rest of the guys remind me of the types of WRs Green Bay and Buffalo end up with.

In realtime I'd have probably taken a flyer on the DT from Ole Miss at some point but seeing that he's still sitting out there unsigned, there's probably more to it than just the off the field stuff.

I am curious to see how Hood develops. God knows we needed a safety but CB is still a premium position and if I did have a draft philosophy, it would be to draft the positions that cost a lot and don't hit FA if they're good.

I'm pretty good with how the draft turned out. We needed secondary help and Spy addressed it. Stukes was rising up draft boards and he was one of the secondary guys I wanted. I loved the pick and he can play anywhere..... slot, boundary and FS. I know a lot of guys her liked Boston in the 2nd. I wasn't as high on him as some of you guys were. Honestly, I knew nothing about Crawford but hindsight being 20/20, it was a great pick IMO. I would have been fine with Mullet Man as well at guard, but I think Zuhn's athleticism makes him a better fit in an outside zone and he can play anywhere on the OL which makes him very valuable. Wouldn't shock me if he wins the RG job coming out of camp. Worst case, we have a valuable back up.

I'm fine rolling the dice with McCoy. I might have taken the best available receiver there. Surprised Washington was still available in the 4th and we needed someone to compliment AJ.I didn't think we had any shot at drafting him. I knew nothing about Johnson but in retrospect, he was a very good pick at a position of need. I knew about Massey so I'm fine with him in the 6th. Totally on board with Benson. Never heard of Cleveland. Seems like the scouts really liked him and hopefully he carves out a rotational role on the DL.

I’m gonna have to think about the rest..

Round 1 • Pick 1 (1) Fernando Mendoza - QB Indiana - Not my favorite QB prospect over the past few years. I view him as an upper level game manager. That’s okay because Brady was an elite level game manager it just took time to get there. Hopefully Doza gets close to that level.

Round 2 • Pick 6 (38) Treydan Stukes S Arizona - I’m perfectly fine with this pick. We needed a versatile S we got one early

Round 3 • Pick 3 (67) Emmanuel Pregnon G Oregon - I think he was a very good option here at the G position even if we couldn’t get position flexibility.

Round 3 • Pick 27 (91) Chris Bell WR Louisville - That was one of my favorite WR’s in this draft. Have to take him here. Poor kid went to Miami though. Not sure how it will turn out for him early on.

Round 4 • Pick 1 (101) Jermod McCoy CB Tenn - Worth the shot. If we can get 3-5 years out of him playing at a high level that’s worth the shot even if he’s forced to retire. Even if he never plays this is the type player you swing on.

Round 4 • Pick 22 (122) Mike Washington RB Arkansas - Nice spot to add another RB and he has some speed to the outside. I think he may be a nice complement to Jenny. Came real close to going with Kamari Ramsey S USC here. Two similar guys on the back end could have been fun.

Round 5 • Pick 10 (150) Zakee Wheatley- Another S that can play deep if needed as well as in the box. Although I have no issue with Dalton Johnson. I just think SS is easier to find in any old draft.

Round 5 • Pick 35 (175) Hezekiah Masses CB Cal - He’s handsy so hopefully he can clean that up. Overall I like the pick.

Round 6 • Pick 14 (195) Caden Curry DE Ohio State- I think he may outperform his draft position.

Round 7 • Pick 13 (229) Tim Keenan DT Alabama - NT that everyone wants just 175 picks later.

I know @Nobodyinparticular has had severe issues with the last 2-3 drafts so I bet he even puts something out there for review this year?!?

I think he wanted to trade all the picks for Cam Ward last year? 1 through 7?

No better place to defend your bitching than right there on the draft board a day later!
