One year after being drafted, I don't think his roster spot was ever in doubt. They didn't exactly bring in much competition for his spot.

Close to cutdown day, here's players that should be cut: Thornton- call it a day with him and move on; Mafi, B. Cleveland, Tokyo Toe. Every one of these guys can be replaced with players cut from other teams.

Toe gets international exemption with no tasi. So hes "free" to keep.

I think they would have to give Thornton an injury settlement if they release him no? No one has really stuck out this pre season so they probably keep him another season. Personally I'd rather keep Deven Tompkins and let him handle the return duties.

I have to think that we will be looking at the waiver wire for OL, DT, and WR help.

Thornton likely makes the team, then put on IR, with his roster spot then going to a waiver claim.

I think half the league is looking o-line help (except Philly). DT is where I think Spytek should be focusing. This DT room is a hot mess.
