At some point we have to stick with a GM, HC and DC along with the players they chose to bring in. Last time we did anything close to that was JDR.

The youth movement is underway and taking on bottom of the roster 30 year olds from other teams won’t do shit for us in the long run. Well just see some of those guys get scooped up by other team who can and will be patient. Scooping up a bunch of waiver wire guys may net us one extra win and then we would bitch about not having a better draft position.

Pete turned and burned the bottom of the roster every other day and that got us the number one pick and him back at USC teaching a class

That's ideal but you're really depending on the coaching staff to keep it from becoming a shit show. I'm comfortable with the offensive side but the defense could use an adult or two in the secondary at least.

In the secondary we have 3 vets that are solid Chinn, Stokes and Johnson. Nobody off the street is gonna replace them. IPM blows so if we wanted a vet to replace him so be it. But it would seem as if the rookie is doing well enough to take over sooner than later.

Then we have 2 rookies ready to step in for Porter can’t make the step or Sokes goes down. Like I have said a few times I like what we have done in the secondary. It will just take for it to come together probably most of the year. I’m good with that because the unit is young.

Another position I would 100% look to upgrade would be DT even via trade. We have one young guy who has shown anything and that was Tonka. And that was at the end of the year. The rest of the group is blah and turning and burning that group would be a wash at worst and potentially an upgrade. W
 
Starting to read up on some cut candidates from other teams and Eagles have serious depth on their o-line and DT room. Got to think that Spytek is looking to add some guys who get cut from other teams and that team is prime for the picking.

I think our Fat guy from the Jets ( Fatarski or whatever) can handle the Billings role unless we find a better choice.
