That's a fun comparison. Smith was a baller.
Is it better to have a white chip in a blue spot or a blue chip in a white spot ? Sounds kinda kinky butBlue chip players at white chip positions. A good way to build a bloated and mediocre roster.

I wonder if the Giants think they should have kept their guy? Really good and great running backs are not a dime a dozen as it is regularly touted here.Hmmm
RB, in season, is not a white chip position. On O, RB have more potential to affect a game than all but QB.
RB is viewed as a white chip position b/c of RB longevity and perceived replaceability. If a RB is good, they will get a 2nd contract. Question is, from whom? If a RB is special, you’d think a team would not balk at a 2nd contract. If they do, it’s not b/c of the RB. It’s b/c the team is in rebuild mode, which might lead them not to resign other position players.

But really great running backs don't do shit unless they have a good passing game and a good oline.I wonder if the Giants think they should have kept their guy? Really good and great running backs are not a dime a dozen as it is regularly touted here.
Jano and Lechler might make it to the HOF but did they turn this team around? We pass on AJ and we can watch him go to the HOF for another team.
Pretty much. If we draft for the lines I get it but we'll probably be watching him crush it and regretting. Taking a swing at QB is also a worthy endeavor if Sanders is there for us. I'll puke if we draft Dart over Jeanty. We pass on AJ and we can watch him go to the HOF for another team.
Is that what Barry Sanders had in Detroit? But really great running backs don't do shit unless they have a good passing game and a good oline.
How many playoff games did the Lions win with him?Is that what Barry Sanders had in Detroit?
