2025 Mock Draft thread...

Here's my ideal Raiders 7-round draft. Mendoza gets true X receiver in Boston with 36, and Spytek uses some capital to go back into the 2nd round to get Miller.

Both might not be there, but in a perfect world, LV fills pressing needs with top few picks.

I'd draft Bell just to see what a behemoth looks like in an outside zone scheme. Probably a mess, but it could be fun to try.
Boston’s not there at 2.36 and Miller’s not there at 2.54. Easier to be a GM when you remove such limitations.

Never know how things will play out. But, yeah. Probably not.
Guess it means I’m getting better at this draft stuff. Guys I liked early on in the process for the Raiders have moved up boards.

Two more mocks from Raiders beat writers picking (1) DT McDonald (over OT B. Miller) and (2) C. Miller (over CB C. Johnson). Disagree with both picks. That four Raiders beat writers with hard ons for DT at 2.36.

I think that teams will have have to weigh depth at all these positions. I think all those offensive tackles will be gone in first round. It's possible C. Johnson slides but my guess is he's gone too. The DT group has three big guys that appear to be much more well regarded the guys below them: Miller, Hunter and McDonald. I doubt all three make it to Round 3, so Raiders may "need" to take one, and load up on the deeper positions later: WR, safety, maybe LB? In those positions, there isn't much separating the players.

A two-down DT will be among our choices at 2.36, for sure. I view starting caliber CB as a bigger need and a more premium position. I also don’t like the CB depth of this class.

This is just a really weird draft class. Seems like there's a lot of depth at DE, WR, LB and safety. But even at WR, for example, no blue chip player. If we go DT, Miller may have the most upside: 21 years old, big, and should improve. I'd have no issue if we took one of those three, or even a stud guard if one drops.

CB also. There’s going to be some sleepers in the mid to late rounds

There are some CB projected in the 4th that I like, but I’m tired of drafting for sleepers. Bennett and Richardson were both 4th round sleepers. Porter was a 3rd round project. If we want a starting caliber CB, like I do, 2nd round is the ticket.

That pretty much holds true for damn near every position.

I just don’t see Bud Clark going in the 4th. Sure, turning 26 in December will ding his draft status some, but dude put up too impressive stats to go that late, imo. I could see him going in the top 55.

I’m with you here. I’m very much ok with Chris Johnson, Cisse or Abney at 36 or maybe after a slight trade back

Sure seems like safeties are now being mocked higher last few days. Deep position. I can see spytek taking one on top three rounds. May be the best value at a particular slot

If SpyGuy went CB at 2.36, then traded down and selected a S in the 3rd, then traded back into the 3rd for 3 picks on Day 2 and 5 picks in the T102, that would be huge (IMO).

Chris Johnson looks like a baller. He just has that day 1 starter look to him. Unless a guy falls to the Raiders at 2.36 that they covet, I can see Spy trading down in the second as he did last year.
