Thornton was a project without much college production. He may not even make the team. Hurst and Lance both put up solid numbers in college.

The Combine changed everything for Bryce Lance. Before Indianapolis, the scouting conversation centered on a productive FCS receiver who might lack the speed to separate at the NFL level. That 4.34 forty, combined with elite explosion numbers across the board, obliterated the biggest question mark on his evaluation. This is not some stiff possession receiver who needs to be schemed open on every snap. Lance tested as one of the most explosive athletes at his position in combine history, and when you pair that kind of verified speed and burst with 6-3 length, a 41.5-inch vertical, and a 62 percent contested catch rate, you are looking at a receiver who can win at all three levels of the field. The physical toolkit is legitimately special.

Never watched a second of Georgia State or North Dakota this year until these guys ran fast a month ago at the combine and their name started popping up similar to Donte Thornton last year.

I'll take your word for it on their legitimately special physical toolkit.
 
Lance is a similar prospect to what Watson was. He has a chance at being a starting caliber receiver in the NFL. I actually didn’t expect him to run that fast, tough to tell against FCS opponents. I wouldn’t want to take him at 2.36 though. 3.67? Sure.

No not AI from one of the draft sites. My point being, you can find some value here on day 2 and 3. Based on the number of WR visits, I think Vegas is definitely looking at . Just hard to say where. I mean the safe route would be grabbing a guy like Germie Bernard in the 2nd. Not exceptionally fast or flashy but a lunch pail type guy that is going to get open and make plays.

I definitely think we need a WR.

I hope its a guy who gets open easy. I'm not overly concerned with height or 40 times.

Both Zierlein and Mock’s CB7 (after Cisse and C. Johnson). Zierlein’s #64 ranked prospect, who is rising up boards and currently mocking at #52. I like C. Johnson at 2.36 if OT7, WR6, S3 and McDonald are gone.

Ya it ls a draft that provides a lot of value I think. Theme here was versatile players that could fill in at different roles if needed.

Ponds- He could be play inside or outside. I hate his height but the play on the field is undeniable. When you have Johnson and Stokes you need someone who can fill in for both at a moments notice.

Bernard- Well rounded guy who can do it all. Inside out even some razzle dazzle from the RB position.

Orange- Has the talent to be NT/3Tech or even play end in 3-4 fronts.

Leigh- OT/G who could offer flexibility for the line. Try him out as OT if that don’t work he could easily be a G

Louis- Small kid but good mover in space and he hit a blitz.

Bell- Not much hope he will be good but if he hits as a RT ! Holy hell that’s a big fucking dude.

That’s a weird one for sure. Why on earth would are we spending a 4th round pick on a QB? Two DT’s I get but I would hope for a penetration type 3tech to go along side McDonald. No OL at all is concerning for me as well. I like a lot of the players though aside from the POS QB who ruined my Natty
