2025 Mock Draft thread...

hilarious how they all come of with" I think this is going to be the Raiders pick"... no you didn't numbnuts, you just commiserated with all your little gossiping drama draftnik buddies and their leaker friends..
Best post nomination. Nobody had Banks near the T5. Lol

If that's the case, the blame falls on the doofus that told them.

...unless they only told him they were going to draft him because they wanted it to get leaked. It was all a ploy to use Banks and his team as a smokescreen by proxy. Throwing everyone off our scent right before the draft by lying to him. I like it. I'm going with that.

It's not really a big deal tbh. It's unlikely some team wants him so badly that they jump ahead of us and steal him away.

I would imagine its customary to reach out and give guys a heads up, especially if it's way higher than projected.

Pretty low stakes leak if true, IMO.

Silly talk aside, we know teams do sometimes lie to players about drafting them. We've seen at least one or two bring it up later down the road. I think I remember the Cowboys being one team that told a guy if he was on the board when their pick came up, they were taking him. Kid was on the board, expecting the call, then heard another guy's name announced.

Dirty game.
Randy Moss said something about the Cowboys along these lines....

2.37 -- BPA RB/OG/CB/WR/QB/S -- Realistic options of Trey Henderson, Quinshon Judkins, Omarion Hampton, Jayden Higgins, Donovan Jackson, Grey Zabel, Shavon Revel, Trey Amos, Jalen Milroe, Benjamin Morrison, AZ Thomas, Darien Porter, Carson Schwesinger, etc. Just a few of the guys I'd like at this spot. Tough to predict who will be available.

3.68 -- BPA RB/OG/CB/WR/QB/S/LB/DT preferred -- Again, tough to predict who will be available. All of the above guys listed would be here too. Guys like Tyler Shough, Will Howard, Dylan Fairchild, Kaleb Johnson, Cam Skattebo, Kyle Williams, Jack Bech, Elic Ayomanor, Ozzy Trapilo, Anthony Belton, Charles Grant, a bunch of DTs (Sanders/Collins/Turner/Farmer/Alexander) would be better options here for me, some edges like David Walker/Jack Sawyer/Kyle Kennard would be good value, Zy Alexander, Dorian Strong, Barrett Carter, Chris Paul, Kevin Winston, Billy Bowman... just to name a few.

Option 2: (A grade option)
1.6 -- Ashton Jeanty -- Consolation prize if Mason doesn't drop.
2.37 -- Donovan Jackson/Grey Zabel if they dropped would be ideal. Amos, Revel, or Morrison if they don't.
3.68 -- See above list, BPA
Add Luther Burden to this 2nd round list since he dropped. And Sanders.

All giving us Banks. Who gets the fuck you thread: Pete, Spytek, or both?
Just bringing this back up. I've never seen such a smokescreen from our organization work like this before. Just wild. I'm pretty sure Vinny had us taking Banks and Hondo was with Membou, too. Pretty sure Vic had us still taking Jeanty. Everyone had it right two weeks ago and just got duped the week of the draft, love it.

If Jeanty had gone at 5, we might be singing a different tune.

It may also be that we fully believed that Jeanty would be gone at pick 5 and if that trade didn’t happen he may have been taken. So with Banks going 9 it probably isn’t a stretch to think we would have taken him or tried to trade back.

Jags reporters said Jags wanted an offensive weapon over Graham. They did not predict Jags moving up for Hunter. They were comparing Jeanty to McMillan, and landing unanimously on Jeanty. That trade was key.

And he always seemed to want to play hard when he faced the cowboys. Funny that.
I was at the first Moss game against Dallas after they passed on him in the draft. 3 catches for 3 touchdowns, 163 yards. Just happened to be on a trip to Dallas that weekend. It was glorious.

Draft a safety and let a QB go next pick.

TE
RB
Safety

2027 mock draft has the Raiders drafting a LS in the top 10.

If it makes you feel better, Arch could not play a snap between now and the 2026 draft and still go higher than where this mock has us picking.

As far as LS goes, as long as he's generational and all that.

When does Smith WR from Ohio State come out, next year? We should grab him and then Arch the following year . :koolaid:
