2025 College Football Thread

I expect that he was fine with the idea that Tennessee would say no or he would have never pushed it to that point in the first place. There’s more to it, whether it has to do with going somewhere that would get him NFL ready or just simply not liking it at Tennessee. Handling it like he did is a very 20 year old thing to do.

Whole thing has always seemed like purely a business relationship. Tennessee fans complained about him not recruiting other players there like other QBs do.

He's still a top prospect.

Just going to have to answer some more questions next year if he comes out.

NIL got shit all fucked up. Free agency is a thing.
I’ve posted about it before but I think he’s severely overrated as a player. I just don’t see it with him. He’s like a ‘looks like Tarzan plays like Jane’ guy as a QB… he plays with less balls than Derek did haha

There is a lot of smoke out there that Nico’s camp originally wanted to leave not because of money, but because the current Tennessee system has a disastrous track record of getting guys ready for the NFL.

Him getting far less than 4 million at UCLA would somewhat back that up.

Part of me thinks the $4M number was more of a way to say “if you want me to run deep choice 20 times a game again, this is what it’s going to cost.” And Tennessee said goodbye.

Not buying that bullshit either although I don't think he or his family ever liked him in Tennessee, and like I said earlier, can't blame him about that, lol. UCLA has DeShaun Foster coaching who can't string together a sentence, and the new OC doesn't have any track record of putting anyone in position for the league either. I just think he wanted to be back out West, which is why Tulane and UNC were no-go's too.

Sad thing is, UCLA signed another QB earlier this offseason. He’s bumming.

They say his reps are looking around. He came from App State or some shit, so Nico just fucked that kid out of his shot.

He's 6'6" and mobile. Somebody will take a chance on him, but I am like you. When I first saw him, I was like is this what all the hype was. Because his name had rang bells since he was early in his high school years in recruiting.

Yeah I hear you that his career hasnt been what I expected either.

Like @Raider Outlaw said though, he's 6-6 and can run. Solid arm and has made some special throws.

If he settles in and puts up some good tape at UCLA I think this will just be noise most forgotten about. He's been the "other best QB prospect" beside Arch Manning for a while now.

The young chick is all up in the mix and sending out directive emails to everyone on how shit needs to be handled, giving out talking points. Like this is a woman he met on a plane a year ago.
I saw some video talking about this yesterday, she was on the practice field with him in some kind of work capacity running around... except she was dressed like a whore, not a serious person.

the video guys were speculating on how many players would bang her eventually and the shitshow that will follow.

This is something underrated that goes on with college football. Everyone swore players were banging Jimbo Fisher's wife Candi because she had that reformed whore look, and then she just ended up banging a former Florida player who was her personal trainer, humiliating Jimbo in the process. Like Tallahassee is a small ass town. Everybody knew about that shit when it was happening. Like is Taylor Jacobs' car at the Jimbo Fisher house. Do the kids call him step daddy, and then they go talk about how many picks did Jameis throw last week. Shit was insane.

Dan Mullen's wife. That crazy chick that Gus Malzahn is married to. The first ladies of college football programs are wild.

Joshua Farmer? @Raider Outlaw

FSU fans hate him because of how he played last year after trying to pull a Nico for more NIL money and then coming back and sucking. I think he was just a product of playing with studs in 2023, and without them there this last year, it showed.

At the end of the day, it seemed like he wanted to be back on the West Coast more than anything. Probably should have done this in December to avoid the circus aspect, but coaches have been bailing on teams for decades whenever they feel like it without as much scrutiny as this kid got (as in little or none). College football has absolutely no structure right now, so this is just what it is.

Good get for Tino Sunseri if he can unlock his potential since this is his first major OC job. I know EB is like wtf, lol. Sucks for the App State kid because they can say all that competition shit they want, but it's over for him there.

Something else about the Nico story is that he probably held off in December because his brother was supposed to go to UCLA but changed his mind after EB got fired/parted ways with the school. Arkansas better be on watch after Nico leaves that the brother doesn't follow suit. Sounds like an eerily similar situation.

:wtf1:

Brother following brother back to UCLA?
