2025 Backup QB Situation

AO'C gonna get PUP’ed at least and Cam will make the team. Likely keep our eyes out for a vet QB too.

When you are in position for the tank you need to go get that bag. Mark's dumb ass firing McFuckup mid season to try and salvage some wins cost us. Last year's late wins cost us. When your record is 2 and whatever just put your best players on ice...
 
DeVito is the only experienced backup that I see getting cut that would be worth signing. Would probably be an upgrade to O’ Connell. He’s only 27 and has played good for a backup when given the opportunity. Picket might be available for a late round pick swap. At one point, I would have said yes to Sanders if he gets cut. I’m now in the “he brings too much negative attention” camp. Philly has Kyle McCord and DTR battling for 3rd qb. McCord might be a decent dice roll in Kelly’s offense. I thought at one time DTR might have a chance, but he never progressed and played terribly when given the chance in Cleveland. Easton Stick in Atlanta, Stetson Bennett in LA are some other dice rolls if cut.

Edit: In before “what about Hendon Hooker?”. Hell no.
 
San Diego may cut Heineke. Lance is looking like their backup.

Yah and he has decent size and can run. Anyone but Sluggo back there. Seems that every team's back up can run except ours. Why cant we find someone like Tyson Bagent?

I read where Saints might part ways with Taysom Hill. He's more of an Hback/gimmick guy but seems like he would be suited for a Chip offense as long as you don't ask him to do too much.

I would honestly just grab any old guy off the WW as back up QB or just keep Miller as our one and only. Maybe add a guy who can run a bit…

If we make it to the trade deadline and actually look like a team that can make the playoffs go ahead and trade for a viable backup QB. By that point in the season some team will be completely out of it and looking to grab extra picks.
 
We have a young guy. Young guys are better. #NoCatholic
