I think he got fired for allowing both of his coordinators to leave for HC jobs. I think back then you could still block your coordinators from interviewing for HC gigs. Marty didn't stand in either guy's way and both took advantage.

I could also be misremembering why/when he got canned. Wasn't it after like a 14-2 season or something?

In 2024, the Raiders had the fewest rushing yards and lowest YPC in the entire league. In 2025, after using the 6th overall pick on Jeanty, the Raiders again have the fewest rushing yards and lowest YPC in the entire league.​

He didn't get along with the GM. AJ Smith or something like that.
