Last two were definitely sacks. If a QB slides or goes out of bounds behind the LOS, I believe the nearest defender is credited with a sack. Something along those lines, anyway.

Third play was just a regular old tackle the QB behind the LOS sack.

A sack is probably the second most ideal outcome for a defensive rep though, so I don't care much about how it happens.

A sack is a result of good play on the field. Be it a “coverage sack” a “high quality sack” or a “non created sack” :rolleyes:
 
If these stat nerds are going to start nitpicking the "quality" of sacks, they also need to acknowledge that an interception resulting from a tipped pass should count against the receiver and not the QB. I realize how stupid this looks when it's typed...somewhat like typing "low quality sack". o_O

Almost everyone is coming to the conclusion that JPJ is a center. I have no doubt that that JPJ called out Nepo on it and ended up in the doghouse.

Meridith is better at guard than center but is flawed because he is too light in the ass. He got pancaked by a LB'er on a second level block last week.

Their plan was always to switch these guys up and we see the results.
Pete will die on this hill rather than admit his mistake and switch JPJ back to center.

Yeah. I agree. Pete won't sell out his kid. That's why he made the very stupid comment about we'll go with the guys we have which is translation for we don't have good players. His kid is not qualified to coach the o-line. Rather than admit he fucked up, he'll throw his players under the bus. Which oddly enough is what people criticized Pierce for last year.
 
I didn't think JPJ played all that bad last year. Did we overestimate how good he was or did all this yo-yoing between center and guard just screw him up? I think the offense and OL are being coached by dipshits. You also have Pete's other son as the run game coordinator.

Someone needs to pull the plug on this because it's not working.

Throw Chip into the pull the plug pile also.

Honestly it looks like an interim head coach situation, and I don't know how to fire all these guys during the season.

A tank year I suppose.
 
I think it's time for the team to revert to it's old way of doing things. JPJ should go to Mark and complain. Have Mark override the head coach and force JPJ into the lineup. Install an old rotary phone on the sideline so that Mark can call down during the game and dictate plays. Mark also needs to sue the NFL. Don't care about what we just need to send a message that the Raiders are back. Install a dirt infield for that extra home field advantage. We can lose by forty but we better damn sure double the penalties and penalty yards. Every offensive play needs to feature two wide receivers minimum sprinting straight down the field. Head coaches no longer get 3+ year contracts as they will not make it that long anyway. Doesn't matter because coordinators and assistants will now be decided on by ownership. No more PF Changs and Hooters. Bowlcut needs to eat McDonalds in his office. I can't believe I typed that all out and our team/organization is no better than when all that was going on. Sell the team.
 
Someone in the media needs to present Pete with the stats from JPJ at C and Parham at RG, then Cappa at RG, Meredith at C and Parham at LG -- and keep following up until he explains WTF is going on and WHY!

The team media department played up JPJ greeting Jeanty as "your center." Cs get paid less, so a guy wanting to play C at a high level is a bargain.

I don't believe the ONLY competition on the O-line was JPJ and Meredith at C, and JPJ and Cappa at RG.

Carroll did not even say Meredith won the C job -- what he said that as well as he played last year at G he wanted him play as one of the best 5 O-linemen and masking his short arms by playing C.
