If we want to continue down the path of oft injured and underwhelming DB’s it makes perfect sense.

Laugh now. But when the team’s flying to Washington after Monday Night Football to play perhaps the best running QB in the NFL, you’ll mark my words.
 
It'd be fun if he could turn his career around and help this defense. Easy to root for guys like him but my expectations aren't very high for our DBs. Gonna need Maxx and company to bring the pass rush this year.

One of the lone bright spots this past pre-season was our pass rushers, even our 2nd and 3rd stringers. I have to believe that PG going to bring the heat a lot this season to cover up some of the secondary deficiencies.

So what you’re saying is we could have had 30 days rest and it may not make a difference….

This is the perfect set up play against a team who was arguably the 4th best team in the NFL last year and when we lose by 20 you can look back and say “see I told ya”

Meyers isn't exactly a speed merchant but has a knack for getting open. He ran a 4.63 at his combine. Nacua ran a 4.57 40 at his and Bech ran a 4.55 40 at his pro day so let's call that a 4.57-4.58. He's not going to win any sprints but he's not as slow as everyone makes him out to be plus he has great hands and will win contested balls.

This is Tucker's 3rd season and he has yet to break out. Let's see if he can take the next step (pun intended)

how does a speed receiver breakout with the QB's we've been putting out there? we've had very little deep balls

I think this is why Adams and White were brought in specifically. Just have to hope that it’s not too telling that when they are on the field that’s exactly what we are gonna do.

Adams has had a nice pre-season but I just hope he can stay healthy along with Stokes. That's probably asking a lot.

This is how I feel about it too. Tucker has always gotten open, but he really hasn't had someone that could reliably get him the ball. Then again, I definitely tuned out much of last season so I didn't watch that much. The beat writers seem to think he's going to have a breakout year.
 
Stokes should also benefit greatly from playing more zone. I know the Packers mixed it up with both DCs he played under with them. Pete should simplify things for him and take more advantage of his athletic strengths in this system.

No, what I’m saying is, whether it matters or not, we got screwed in scheduling. You, though, are now making excuses for the scheduling.

Something I noticed, Aidan was placed on regular IR, not IR designated for return. He still could, but this could set it up that he's done as a Raider (or his injury keeps him out for the season, though that probably is the same result).

There are always so many questions heading into week one about every team, especially when there are as many new faces as there are with the #Raiders

But one thing I’m sure of…the DL will be VERY good…most versatile group Patrick Graham has had in Vegas
