That didn’t take long ..
Had a minute and thats the early list per otc. Should see "futures" contracts coming soon and then its just sorting the IR guys/PS guys into the main roster

Adam Butler is a NFL rotation worthy DT. No reason not to bring him back. He wont cost too much. Hooper is worth a roster spot too. Couple other FA's worth talking to but Butler seems to have done all that was asked and is young enough to stay. DT is a major weakness. No reason to let anyone solid walk.

How much cap space? This roster doesn't seem as bad as other years. We just need better QB play.
I think once we get rid of Jimmy and Hunter we will have roughly 70 million. You probably need 15 million for the draft? So basically 55 million I think… obviously we only have roughly 40 players (didn’t count) so we need to bring in quite a few more players to hit the 53. I’d say we have roughly 30 million to bring in for larger contract guys if we so choose.

Just a guess @Handicapper General ? Sound anything close to right ?

Miller and Crosby are easy restructures too if we need to scrape up a little more.

Unpopular take: I’d like to offer Jacobs about $15M over 3 years with incentives to get up to this year’s salary . Some of you think RBs are a dime a dozen but would be nice to have 2 especially since we’re getting a young QB next year. The Andre James thing is also a question. I expect when he plays Chris Jones, he’s NFL level…I know Dylan seems to be the plan there but Josh is gone. For an 8-9 year, I’m optimistic.

I don’t think he would take that. I kinda think it’s just time to move on and keep the chain moving in the modern RB world where they are either mega stars or they get replaced by end of rookie deal. I’m not saying I hate it for them, but it is what it is.

Also having him run like ass most of the year doesn’t help his case with me.

Carroppolo won't save anything until post draft but that should be enough for practice squad and injury replacements. So figure 35 listed on OTC is a true number (it includes draft pick costs and rollovers and the like), plus 8 more from Renfrow, 43MM is about right currently.

Jimmy is net only about 1 mil if not post june 1. Hunter about 8. About 50 outside of that.

If we post june 1st jimmy its 13. But we push that to next year. Id rather eat it for the year and have it for a push next

A plan or the A plan

Antonio - look for an upgrade.

Aidan - find an upgrade

Amik - 2cd string at best. Find _#1

Andre - move on…find left OG

Adams -kings ransom or keep him.

The Accountant - move on

Ameer - get younger

Austin x2- draft younger replacements

Amari - draft higher prospect.

Al’s son - don’t fuck this up.

I am basically assuming both post June 1st and between them it would leave enough to sign higher end rooks that don’t just kick the can on vet minimum

Other names that could be cap casualties. Facyson saves us 3 mil. Tillery a bit over 2.
Ya a few more ways to nip and tuck if needed. I was kind of seeing what we have cap wise for big money guys in a real sense. We can’t just bring in 4-5 17-18 mil per year guys and call it a day. We may be able to fit one or two big paydays if avail.. Chris Jones ..z

Zamir over the last four games he started.
84 Carries, 397 yards, 4.72 per carry, 99.25 yards averaged per game.

Jacobs in 13 starts.
233 carries, 805 yards, 3.5 yards per carry. 61.92 yards averaged per game.

This isn't even a debate...
