2024 NFL Combine Thread

Well seems like nothing special going on at the combine and aside from random scrolling Twitter nothing new and exciting going to happen from this point on. Time to delete Twitter once again.

Mims right behind him.
Yep - freaky!

5.07u 40-yard dash for 340-pound Amarius Mims is freaky.

The most fascinating OL prospect in this class.

Bo knows….

Xavier Worthy tops John Ross' 40-yard dash record with a 4.21

And would like a word….

After numerous reports of hand-held stopwatch times of 3.9 and 4-flat among the scouts, Jackson said the official timer was consulted.

"They asked the guy that was running the electronic timer," Jackson said. "They said, 'The big-eye don't lie; let me see what he got.' The guy said, 'There it is boys — go out and catch him if you can.' It was 4.13."

As much as I liked Bo, I don’t believe for one second he could have run anything close to a 4.13

At his size a 4.43 would be more like it

Yes.

But the legend grew…

The eyeball test in both sports supports him being freakishly fast and he ran the 100 in 9.54 which supports a low 4 forty time easily.
he’s definitely a freak athlete, just not going to ever buy into the sub 4.3 BS at 220 lbs.

Reminds me of this haha

"Free Americans will choose our own system of weights and measures!"

That’s fair but I think the burden of proof would be on you when there are other recorded metrics that support the reported time. He’s the Auburn record holder in the 60 yard dash at 6.18 too, which scales down to a 4.12 40 if my math is correct.

I think Bo was pretty damn fast.

But .1 faster than the fastest time ever recorded at the combine is crazy.

The biggest RB at the combine Guerendo or whatever just ran a 4.33 though and is now the top ranked RAS guy in 20 years.

I could entertain something in the 4.2’s but 4.4 plus? Not buying that. You have to remember, technique alone can get you a .1 advantage and he was an accomplished sprinter. Look at how much just training for the event for a few weeks has improved recent times vs. historical for players these days.

I agree. I bet he was a 4.3 guy but before my time.

If Run DMC can almost crack 4.3 and some nobody 24 hours ago almost did it I see no reason not to believe it.
