I don't see a Day 2 pick on Rosengarten. He looks kinda shitty. I've seen some boards that have him as a 5th rounder. I think that's closer to where I have him.

If I can set my homerism aside (I can't) yes. Basically if the staff is in on a guy hard enough I'm good with doing what it takes to go get him. Any of the top 6 this wouldn't bother me. Take a fuckin swing already.

Agreed. It's not my opinion on the prospect that matters anyway. If the team is sold on him being their guy, then go get him.

I've seen him ranked all over the place. Quite a few with him in the top 60. Just need a tackle at that spot and chose the highest ranked one still available.

Yep. I've seen some that have him in the mid-20s.

I just don't like him much. Just like I think Penix is much higher than the 35-45 that 'niks have him rated, I think Rosengarten is significantly worse than his consensus rating.

Just a personal preference.
 
Id be ok with jj. But only at 13 or lower. If I'm moving up it's for daniels, caleb, or even maye (smaller move up).

I'm a firm no on Nix.

Penix I'm ok with but similar to jj 13 or a move down

I thought that for a while. Now? I think we can get him mid 20s. Medical came back really bad. We don't hear all this smoke and the open letter if it didn't. His pr team is great. I like the kid. But his draft stock isn't nearly as good as media is pushing.

Granted it only takes one team to change that. But I feel good that we could get him late. Our biggest worry would be a team like the rams that may only take an opportunitistic approach to drafting a qb.

That’s my hope.

Per these guys, JJ was hype, NYG’s interest in Maye blocks NE from trading down, JJ falls to Minn at #11 and Penix falls to us as #13. Man I hope that’s right.

 
Gonna be at a retirement party of sorts tonight for a college buddy, who was a post-college roommate. He’s moving to Spain (his wife has dual citizenship). Gonna be a heavy evening b/c a mutual friend and former college roommate lost his 23 year old son a few weeks back. This will be his first gathering since his son’s passing. I’ll the checking my phone on bathroom breaks.
