1. "the Saints are on a mission to get a QB in this draft"

2. "I wonder if there is a little bit of an excuse made with the shoulder so Derek doesn't look bad asking for a trade because of the situation"

3. "It was very hard for me to find anyone in football who said Derek is definitely dealing with serious shoulder injury"

Weird way to get traded. Who wants damaged goods and a meh QB at $40+ million? Would seem to make a trade less likely. Seems to me he’s just looking for an excuse to say he understands why the team had to draft a QB, in case he could not go.

Dolphins GM Chris Grier after a couple weeks of discussions with CB Jalen Ramsey and his agent, it was in best decision to move forward toward trade.

Grier says Ramsey did not ask for a trade or salary tweak but they decided a trade is best for both of them. In process now.

That’s why I’m for Jeanty and get Sanders. Go for special or QBOTF.

No real value in drafting Membou or Walker over, say, K. Grant or other 1st round prospects. No real drop off.

I saw a trade proposal recently of us sending our 2nd & 4th this yr and 2nd & 4th next year to the Steelers for Joey Porter & Patrick Queen. The thought was the Steelers need to reduce payroll after extending JJ Watt/signing DK Metcalf and could use the draft picks to do that, Raiders get their #1 corner and a former 1st round linebacker to fill another hole. I would be good trading for Porter Jr. He’s a stud. Not sure about Queen. He’s talented, but hasn’t put it all together yet.

I don't see Queen as a Carroll type LB. Steelers also not getting rid of a son of a former player that's close to the organization and HC. I expect they'll be cutting bait with some of those guys like Fitzpatrick who haven't lived up to the money soon. I did want him in his draft for the same reason I like Shedeur. These player kids are usually pretty good in the league, but I don't think a lot of the board was a fan.
