2024 General NFL News Thread

what does that have to do with Rich? Also it looks like Mayo is falling on his face.

Why not keep the Native American theme and change the name to something that isn't considered a slur?
Washington Natives perhaps...
That's what being considered.

-Keep the logo and make the name something that isn't a slur (i.e. Warriors, Little Big Horners, etc.)

Only game tomorrow seems at all interesting is the first game. The other two are embarrassing.

I think the Vikings name should be abolished in addition. Why glorify a bunch of tall , bearded, pagan, barbaric, violent white men who menaced Eastern Europe , England and parts of the Mediterranean..
Were they tall? I always pictured them as quite wee. Cross, I grant you. But not tall.

In any case, they were so violent it's fair to say their genes have long since successfully spread across the whole of Europe, not least in those places you named. So much so, there's no real 'Viking' nation that we can look to these days is there? Any more than the Angles or the Saxons, who were also pretty cuntish in their time in much the same areas as the Vikings.

Washington Choptanks? Iroquois?

Many Native American tribes lived in Maryland and Virginia, including the Algonquin, Iroquois, and Siouan peoples:
  • Algonquin: The Annemessex, Assateague, Choptank, Pocomoke, Accohannock, Nanticoke, Kuskarawaok, Manokin, and Wicomico were all Algonquin sub-tribes in Maryland.
The Washington Kuskarawaoks is catchy and rolls off the tongue.

Aren’t they all in Greenland, Norway, and other Nordic countries now? Maybe even Iceland :D

Aye, I'm sure you're right. Predominantly they are. But not exclusively. Europe has been a melting pot for many millennia. And so Scandinavians today have lots of other DNA too. So you'd have to be pretty hard pressed to be Scandinavian and be offended by someone criticising the vikings.

I mean they'd have to be incredibly touchy. And the Scandinavians all seem very, very mellow these days. It's fair to assume that they've burned their last christian retreat on the shores of England.

I'm more interested in the Miami vs GB game than either of the earlier games.

Based on the skeletal remains recovered through out the years the average Viking in the 11th century was 5'7".

Potomacs.

Ghey.

Choptanks is kinda badass, honestly.

The Land O Lakes butter took off the Indian on their packaging.

Got rid of the Indian and kept the land. Typical.
