2023/24 General NFL News Thread

That situation had gotten extremely weird. It all coincided with Josh getting his money and everyone playing down that Diggs was disgruntled. This is where you'll see what it is though. He's about to be 30 soon and he now not only doesn't have a #1 receiver but not even a #2.

Seems Diggs wanted out of Buffalo (image that) for a while now.

Just living in that hell hole would be enough for anybody to be disgruntled!

I think he saw what some of us saw, they blew their window. It closed after the 13 second game, and if there was any doubt, it was slammed shut when the Bengals were dragging them up an down the field two years ago. They had to go on an epic winning streak with half the AFC's QBs down just to get into the playoffs last year and still lost to the Chefs. He seemed like he felt like he was wasting his time from that point on.

If I recall correctly he did fuckall in that playoff game vs Chiefs

He hasn't done shit in most of their playoff games. That's one of Bill fans' biggest criticisms of him. I doubt he's blaming himself though. After Brady took over, he barely was getting the ball anyway to be fair, but he already seemed out on the team after that playoff loss two years ago. Remember the stuff that blew up in OTAs last summer.

He did the same with the Vikings though. So it wasn't anything new. Back then, people blamed it on him wanting a new deal, but the passive-aggressive retweets and shit point to that he doesn't think Cousins or Allen are elite QBs who can carry a team if they're taking up so much of the cap. The shit with Allen went from I love this guy to weird as hell as soon as that money hit the books.

Wonder if we could traded Davante for 28. We could draft Penix at 13 and then use 28 on a RT.
#28 would be a disappointing value for Adams.

And I'd rather aim for WR at that spot than RT.

#13 QB
#28 WR
#44 RT
#77 WR

Offense is fixed

Diggs trade basically forcing buff to grab 1-2 WRs early in the draft. Maybe even move up for a "premium" guy.

They cant afford a vet option - diggs trade leaves massive cap hit on a team that already has some cap issues (not major, just not allowing for major payout).
