Wide Reciever Thread

Juwan reminds me of Jerry Porter. Similar build and running style.

Got shut down against Hill/Long of UM. Both draftable but I don’t think either are first or even second rounders. Wasn’t really impressed.

What CAN'T this man do

@NkealHarry15

When I watch Harry I can’t help see a Michael Irvin type of player....Not gonna burn a 40, but EXPLOSIVE. Aggressive, huge hands and long arms. FLUID hips. Elite field vision with the ball in his hands. Looks like he runs pretty good routes. Really think he’s gonna be a star.

So DeAndre Hopkins?

Nice one I like that comparison.

I think Harry is actually better after the catch, but Hopkins was pretty advanced as a route runner/catcher of the ball.

Not a lot 6-4 220 guys are returning punts lol.

You don't have to be a 4.4 guy to get open and make explosive plays. Especially nowadays with defensive rules and all the cushion.

Harry is one of the best after the catch at his his size that I have seen in college. My ideal first round, 1a) Bosa, 1b) Harry), 1c) Grier.....Grabbing our MLB in round 2 unless another stud DE is there then I’m double dipping.....Gimme Coney from ND or Devin Bush from UM....

Cordarelle still the best big WR I ever saw after the catch.

What is weird is how good AJ Brown is too. He gets forgotten but for a 220 pound brick shit house he's really good with the ball in his hands too.

Did you see the Texas Towers last weekend? Johnson and Humphrey have me absolutely smitten.

@alteredst8 be damned, this draft is LEGIT at WR. He keeps hating on it.

;)

Thats pretty damn close to ideal for me too.

I'd go pass rush/LB with the 33rd pick or sell it for a 2019 1st rounder if we didnt go QB.

Yup that’s exactly what I would do as well. I’m not sold yet that Gruden is gonna pull the plug. It would be fucking nice if he didn’t have to. But I’m pretty sure it’s gonna happen before we are in LV. If we wind up starting McCarron if we hit 1-10 or worse, I’d say it’s a done deal.

I hope so.

Nobody wanted to suck so bad and have a bust QB and have to re-do another fucking rebuild. I'm not happy about it just like everyone else.

But we are here now and there is no use pretending a broken Carr scared to even push a ball downfield is gonna just fix his problems. 2016 will end up being like 40 games ago. That guy is gone.

Time to evaluate every position including QB. If Gruden can't see it we are more fucked than I thought.

If we miss out on Bosa, I like the Josh Allen cat. IMO He’s passed Ferrell IMO as the 2nd best Edge. I think he’s a good kid off the field as well. Kids played the best competition and is having a monster year after adding like 20 LB’s of solid rock. Little down on Snell Jr. I just think he’s gonna be a “meh” athlete when he does all the drills. RBBC type of guy or utility back up. Really, I’m losing Wood for the RB class in general. I almost hope Doug Martin can play well enough that he buys us a year there with Richard (he’s earned it) coming back.

The problem with Patterson is he gets outplayed by most RBs on routes. It's what he isn't able to do before he has the ball that limits his ability.

Yup. He's never been a good receiver.

But with the ball in his hands I never saw any receiver better in college.

Every touch (if he caught it) was electric. He could take anything to the house. Never saw anything like it especially from a 6-2 220 guy.

JMO.

Still is electric. Made some WOW plays for us. Surprised he hasn’t been more productive. If he could just master an out, a comeback and a slant to go along with what he can do on a screen or a crossing route he’d be able to get 6-8 quality targets on top of a few gadget plays a game. He’s too good YAC wise to not feed.

You're just jealous I was the one pointing it out while you were still drooling over DE's and DT's.

BTW next years class might.. Ok will out class this class by a nice margin. Ok maybe not outclass, but they do compliment each other well if you happened to need to WR's and were willing to wait it out.

Big catch points in 2019 and excellent speed and route runners in 2020. With options for both on each class if you so choose to go against my narrative.

Jerry Jeudy - Bama
Henry Ruggs - Bama
Justin Jefferson - LSU
Antoine Wesley - Texas Tech might stay?
Devonte Smith - Bama
Jalen Reagor - TCU
Tee Higgins - Clemson
CeeDee Lamb - Oklahoma
TJ Vasher - Texas Tech
Peoples Jones - Michigan
Mecole Hardman - Georgia
Greg Dortch - Wake Forest
Jeff Thomas - The U

I honestly like this class just as much. I think we just differ on this class a bit value-wise.

And you missed my favorite one right now.

Laviska Shenault.

It's an easy class to like (this years that is). I think we just like different guys and value them differently at this point. Still a long ways to go before the nuts hit the table.

To be honest I only know half the names on my list I did see Laviska go by as well.

I'm pulling names from others that are talking up their favorite schools top guys.

I've seen the Bama kids, the Miami kid ( go canes) the Georgia, Oklahoma and Clemson kid. The rest I'm just stealing their names, acting like I have a clue who's coming down the pipeline.

#1 Nothing better than watching a highlight video and feeling like you're back in high school.

#2 I absolutely love the way this kid fights for every yard he can.

#3 Enjoy

Yeah, man. The more you see, the more you like.

WR1 after Indi? Mebbe.
