He has to jump Lawson, a steady, reliable but not very good vet. And Joyner, an expensive formally good player apparently playing out of position, yet we don’t care to move him. Both will be celebrated but neither will come easy.

Just Joyner really (and Nick Nelson but... lol). To a lesser degree Arnette - who we want starting on the outside.

Will be interesting how things shake out and when things start to shift - if they do at all this year.

I also don't see the Raiders dumping him after 2 offseasons of pumping him up. The amount of praise he gets from the coaching staff and Mayock after signing him 14 months ago is not in line with a guy who is at risk of an early exit.

I was actually excited about this signing at the time. What a horrible use of a guy playing outside his normal position.

G Fisher’ed Joyner when we wished he was Phillip’d. Here is one PFF nailed. At the time PFF said Joyner graded very well as a FS, but not so well as a slot CB. Well, no shit.

Hopefully G steps up. We need a simplified plan on the outside with all the new moving parts on D, so that the D can play fast.
