Price was right. Filled a need.
I'm good with this one 100 percent.
I’m praying this guy works out.
His performance has been very good. He’s only 26.
We need a pass rush. Baby steps?
He's not a 33 year old corner or a 35 year old guard who hasnt played in years.
This one seems like an easy win lol.
The only thing that gnaws at you is why is he going on his fourth team? It’s not like he hasn’t been effective.
Pushing Crosby down the depth chart and limiting/focusing both Crosby’s and Ferrell’s roles gets, or hopefully gets, more out of both of them.
Not scheme diverse, not good against the run. He does one thing well, real well, that is, get after the QB from the wide tech. That’s what we need. That’s what Gus’s employs.
Thats my concern as well.
What’s with Raider fans? Can’t be happy? Take the win . . . regardless of how short lived.
I'm pretty stoked with him. One of the best speed rushers in the game and we're in a division with Mahomes and Herbert. Gotta get to them and get to them quick.
@hawaiianboy is the king of screaming for pass rushers. Did this move earn a seal of approval?
His career trajectory is filled w production. The Raiders paid him big money so he is going to get every chance to succeed off the edge here. Also sounds like the guy has elite work ethic and the desire to be good. Lots of coaches vouched for him on local radio when he Ravens got him for a 3rd rounder. They just signed ol T.Bowser instead bc he is a more well rounded fit for a 3-4. Yannick is a DE not a LB.
I saw the Ravens signed Bowser last night. He would have been a good SAM fit if Bradley wanted to emulate the 2013/14 Hawks.
Josh Allen in Jax is another great fit for that role. LOL
It's not anything but a signing. Raider fans have seen lots of these turn to shit.
I've already got a bet down on when he gets his own "Fuck you" thread.
Smart money says halftime of 2nd preseason game.
I'm glad we got him... I'm glad we're trying and it seems we're being financially mature about it.
that said, I've always tempered this guys performance in Jacksonville because he was surrounded by a loaded talent pool attacking the LOS there... just sayin he's a 9-10 sack guy rather than true stud is all.
be great to be proven wrong... we still need more help outside IMO
I’d rather use the money on retaining Rodney Hudson.
Our new pass rusher is like ... “what”?
Welcome to the Raiders dummy.
Who the fuck cares. This doesn't change our shitty D one bit. Still can't cover, still can't stop the run and still can't tackle.
Doesn't help our shitty offense now either.
Fuck this stupid team and fuck me for still being a fan.
This was my concern with Yannick. Why the movement from team to team?
3. Yannick Ngakoue signing with the Raiders. I loved the Vikings’ trade for Ngakoue last season and thought he’d be a great addition to their defensive front. Then I watched him run up the field and avoid contact and run past the passer and I understood why Jacksonville traded him and why the Vikings wanted him gone. The Ravens learned the hard way, and at certain points during their season, they kept Ngakoue off the field even in passing situations.
The worst place to be in football is past the quarterback, and yet Ngakoue loves to run past the passer as if he gets rewarded for being close to the quarterback’s launch point. When two teams walk away after trading significant assets, my antennas go up. He has 25 quarterback hits in the last 30 games and 16 sacks — and unless this improves, his $21 million guarantee will not make the Raiders happy.
