Welcome to the Raiders: Jonathan Abram

If I recall correctly, Vernon Butler and Josh Doctson were the available guys I was digging on.

Clearly, my taste in WRs needed/needs improvement.

Not sure how Butler has done.

*Googles*

Oh. Well then. I don't reckon I would have been any happier if I had been the one making the pick. Imagine that.

Maybe it was William Jackson who I really liked. :pound:

If you guys need WR tips let me know.

Outside of that I got nothin.

Seems pretty apparent why Mayock drafted Abram and how Guenther intends to use him. According to PFF, Abram was 15 points better in coverage and 13 points better against the run when lined up in the box or in the slot (see link below). If that holds true, the D got better, including b/c Abram will enable Joyner to play more FS and less slot CB.

People are sleeping on this kid. Skill set aside, his passion and leadership are being sorely discounted. I get it... rah rah shit doesn’t mean anything if your play isn’t up to par but I think we’ll be pleasantly surprised in both areas. Pseudo safety/LB is a legit position these days.

I wasn’t too sure about the guy... but I remember reading after the one game that he did play in that he knew he’d hurt his shoulder. Instead of coming out, he just decided to stay in and start hitting people with the other one.
