Trent Brown in trouble?

He's going on the commissioner's list. This is not good.

If any of that shit is true, which it sounds like it's been corroborated by police reports, I'm wondering how the team missed this. We're going to have to cut him loose probably.

:wtf1:

Police reports don’t “corroborate” allegations, they report allegations. Is there word that the police investigated this? Or is this a Raider predication? Both Hill and AB avoided the list and played, but the NFL won’t let Trent play?

First (standard) word from NFL (that I’ve seen):

Scott Bair @BairNBCS
3m
NFL spokesman on civil lawsuit against Trent Brown allegeding domestic violence: “we will review the matter.”

There is no clear standard for suspending a player these days. After the debacle with Zeke Elliot, the NFL has shown that it's generally reluctant to suspend a player based on purely allegations. So the civil suit itself is probably not grounds for a suspension. T. Hill was not suspended and there was some fairly compelling evidence that he was involved in some real horrific conduct plus a taped phone call of him making a threat.

I doubt Brown will get suspended unless there's real evidence he did this stuff. If he did, he deserved it. If he didn't, it might be still be smart for him to pay some money and make it go away quickly.

One other thing: The lawyer involved in this suit is a known blowhard amongst Bay Area lawyers. He's a sue first, think later guy.

Good to hear. PFT seemingly tried to make something of his NFL certification.

I’m still leaning to the belief (speculation) this is about breaking her partnership agreement and she demanded half of his fat contract, and he said fuckyoubullshit. It will be telling how much the Raiders knew and when.

The whole timing of this smells fishy to me. Can’t Browns attorney drag this thing out so that he gets to play most of this season?

Yes he can drag it out but that does not stop the NFL from doing what the NFL is going to do. It also does not stop Mark from doing what he’s going to do. Sure hope Brown’s not a POS. Sure doesn’t seem like one.

If the police report is about woman had bruise on neck. Woman had bloody mouth. Woman had bruises on arm. Yeah, it corroborates it.

Again, those are pretty specific claims that apparently had police reports attached to them. Think back to that Giant kicker situation and how that went. Imo, a matter of when not if because it's multiple reports.

If the police witnessed that yes, but if she reported it a month later and didn't have that evidence then no it doesn't.

Haven’t seen the police report. Have you seen it or quotes from it reporting such observations? Or are you speculating as to what it might say? If a police officer observed such physical trauma, I’m guessing Brown would have been booked/arrested. Or somebody at least would have leaked the police report to TMZ back in June or July. The highest paid FA OL being accused of DV with evidence of physical abuse is news.

I’ve read one incident/police report in Texas (June) and one incident (unreported) in Hawaii. Not sure where the third allegedly occurred, but I thought I read there was only one police report.

Speculating because of her claims in the lawsuit, and then they said police reports were made on a couple of occasions. What I meant if that comes out like with the Giant kicker because it was a similar situation where until the divorce, no one said anything about it. Then people went digging and put it all on blast. Career over.
