Trade down?

I actually think that would be a disaster. Rosen is about as millennial as they come... he’d drive Belichick nuts.
Tbh - I think Tom and his “personal trainer” are already driving him nuts. He’d prefer a kid that he can have under his thumb.

I wouldn’t hate it. But since it’s the pats - it’ll cost em more. Squeeze them until it hurts. Only reason they jump that high is for tommy b’s successor. So I want 1,1,3 and 1 next year as a starting ask.
I wouldn't put it past BB to move up for a non QB. He's already established he can develop a QB for his system from outside the 1st round. However passrushers have been a struggle for him, and I could easily see him falling in love with Fitz/James or one of the LB's

Tom Brady is a vegan all natural hipster weirdo but the job gets done.

I think Bill would be fine.

I'm talking about the part where he tells Belichick that his play call won't work then suggesting one of his own... on the first day of training camp.

I'm getting a vibe you have had some run-ins with millenials.

LOL.

Nah, technically I am one albeit on the backend lol. I do some training on generations in the workplace, etc.

It's actually a pretty interesting phenomena. A generalized characteristic is that they tend to be at odds with the traditional workplace hierarchy. They want their input considered and have no problem vocalizing their perceived flaws with established way of doing things. In other words "because I said so" doesn't tend to generate a lot of buy in.

Oh I just googled. I guess I am a millenial too.

Fuck we suck.

My mother was HR at a small hospital... she attended seminar/workshop where they talked about different workplace tendencies and approaches, loyalties, etc of the various generations... was really fascinating stuff... I can't say I didn't notice those things in myself and others in my experience.

10. New England Patriots (trade with Raiders)

JOSH ROSEN, QB, UCLA. Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels get the potential heir apparent to Tom Brady and don't have to move inside the top nine to do so. The price to land Mayfield in the top five is too steep, but Oakland is willing to move back after all the cream of the crop is gone and New England finds value with potentially the best QB in this draft at the 10th slot.

There you have it. Talk to me in a week and I might go in a complete different direction. Heck, talk to me in five hours and I might want to scrap it. But as food for thought, and with an emphasis on this being a draft where it might pay to expect the unexpected, I'll let this ride. It would make for an entertaining first few hours of the draft, if nothing else.
No way Rosen falls to #10.

Barring trades, 5 of the top 9 will 100% not be on a QB (1 Cleveland pick, SF, TB, Chicago, Indi). 1 pick will 100% be on a QB (NYJ). The other 3 (NYG, Denver, Cleveland) are 50/50 either way. It could very easily be Allen and Darnold first leaving Rosen to slide. I don’t think he should or will but it’s very conceivable.

If he does I’m drafting him and trading Carr to one of the teams right behind us... ;)

Perhaps, I just don’t see Denver passing on Rosen. But I didn’t think NYG would pass on him either. If they both passed on him, somebody’s trading up for him prior to #10 (IMO).

Don’t count mason Rudolph and Lamar Jackson out of the top 10 yet. I can see teams getting desperate and there’s some hungry teams that would need to be jumped.

MF'er stealing my shit-

Agree that's where McGlinch's future will be in the NFL, unless he morphs into Jack Conklin. Nothing wrong with having a capable starter at one of the OT positions. Just don't want him with a top ten pick that's all. Raiders have been tight lipped about Penn so no telling if he will be ready for camp or not.

If I had to choose between Hurst and McGlinchey at 10 I’d go Hurst. Take a chance on Williams, Miller or the Oregon kid in round 2. Possibly even come up a tad if needed. The second tier of T’s are closer to McGlinchey than any 3T’s after Hurst IMO. I do like Taven B.’s possible upside but he’s nowhere near as skilled as Hurst as of now.
