I know my Ed Oliver Jihad started a while back, but seeing how he's already stated he's coming out next year I figure another video of Ed Oliver would be in order.

The 2019 Jihad has officially started.

    [IMG] T.J. Edwards, ILB/OLB, Wisconsin
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 244.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.74.
    Projected Round (2019): 2-3.
2/22/18: Edwards is an instinctive defender who is a physical presence in the tackle box. He also is dangerous in zone coverage, consistently putting himself in position to make plays on the ball. As a junior, he recorded 81 tackles with 11 for a loss, two sacks, seven breakups and four interceptions. In 2016, Edwards had 89 tackles with three interceptions, 8.5 tackles for a loss, three sacks and two passes batted. He totatled 84 tackles with four breakups as a freshman.

    Pretty good DL class overall.

My early guess is WR though.

Biggest needs I think will be: Edge, CB, S, RB, TE.
    Probably still need tackles... :(

    Love the DL class.

Gonna rival 2011 when all is said and done.

ILB/OLB are priority #1 right heading into this season. DJ old. Victor/Lee/Morrow all role players not starters currently. The new OLB holds one spot of 3. The rest is a gamble on age or youth. Bowman was not the answer for the future either.

RB - Lynch and Martin are about finished
TE - Cook is not the answer here longterm

Edge- Irvin is a solid guy, but we eventually need a bookend with Mack. Lets hope Key turns into that guy.
DT - PJ Hall, Hurst, Hester and Vanderdoes can bring some pressure. Gonna need more beaf tho. Another run plug needed w Jelly.
CB - Melvin could stay here on another contract. Conley is penciled in as a starter. Cant have enough CBs tho. Nickel spot open.
S - I think Guenther will make Joseph and Obi at least average starters. We shall see. He has talent to work with currently. Still like Luani too! Gilchrist and Nelson are here to stop gap again in case of injury or incompetence.

OT - Everyone says Penn is done. Just like they did a few years ago before he stabilized LT for another two years. I think Penn has a year or two left of NFL play. Unless this injury is the end of him. Miller and Parker are both very young and have some upside. Im guessing they both get a chance to impress before we consider OT a need again. Ware and Sharpe might surprise us and join the battle. Who knows.

WR - I expect the Raiders to re-sign M.Bryant. Him and Cooper would make a fantastic starting duo. I loved this draft gamble because Bryant is a known player (altho a knucklehead too) With that said Jordy is old. The Raiders coaching staff loves offense, I could see us using an early pick on another WR. Pairing Cooper, Bryant and _____. (Speedy slot guy w hands) Carr will be given every chance to succeed. The picks of OT should have been the final sign that Gruden thinks Carr makes the team go and he is gonna give him everything he needs, no excuses. Even passing up rare defensive talent to gamble on OL.

FB - Who will be the lead blocker that can finish that final block on the big runs? Position open.

QB - I expect a late round guy every year from now on
Interior OL - Set here unless we need cap room.

I'm not sure any of the DL/Edge we added this past draft would hold us back from adding another DL/Edge player next year.

Not if Key lights it up. He might look like the top overall pick again like he did in 2016. AKA is in shape and off THE WEEEEEEED.

Also, Bruce Irvin is still young enough to put together a few more years of solid pass rush. I wouldn't count him out until we see him used correctly off the edge.

With that said, edge was my #1 priority for this last draft. Im still super salty we passed Davenport and Landry. Key eases the sting, but Davenport is going to be a stud we regret passing. Same with Payne. Oh well.

Add more. Fuck good teams build strengths and fill up weak spots.

What are we gonna pass on Ed Oliver for Kolton Miller version 2.0 due to need again?

    Shitty teams do that.

let's just hope we DID take care of OT this draft. If so we'll be going into next year's draft with a better ability to go BPA.

We won’t be in position to get him my dude....but that mfer is gonna be a BEAST. Aaron Donald comps IMO are very accurate. I still can’t believe he went to Houston lol.

    Good stuff Big Tron!

*edit Personally I think Gruden will want to go RB early this time around, need to get the scoop on guys who can run with power, speed and can catch balls out of the backfield in a zone scheme. I would be willing to bet Penny was a target if he lasted until the third or even late second round. He’s a perfect fit for it. Obviously Seattle thought so too!

So let’s say either Obi or Joseph prove that they aren’t going to be long term quality starters and we are all of a sudden looking at taking a S early next year, say late round one or round two.....here is a guy you probably haven’t heard of yet but you will.....Khaleke Hudson, the replacement for the Jabril Peppers “Viper” role at UM....And he is a better player than Peppers, and perhaps even more athletic...He’s listed at 5’11” 205, hes built a lot like Saquon Barkley, thick legs, rocked up arms. How about 83 tackles (18.5 for a loss), 8 sacks! Yes, 8! With 4 QB hurries and 2 FF, 9 passes defended and 2 INT’s (he’s a superior blitzer and superior in coverage than Peppers, moves more fluidly). IMO was the 2nd best defensive player on the team behind Hurst last year. He may test VERY well if he comes out. Explosive mfer....check it out bro’s!!!

*Edit, read a report he worked with a UM nutritionist and a trainer extensively this offseason and is up to 216 Lbs and has retained his explosiveness..Dudes a beast.

Ooooooohhhh....He’d be a nice fit. Real nice hands and body control/awareness on “scramble drill” for a Rb. Looks pretty well built. Good find!
