ESPN has the Raiders picking Top 5 and taking Jalen Tabor (CB) from Florida

    http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draf...cshay-way-too-early-2017-mock-draft-nfl-draft

Walter Football has the Raiders picking #25 and taking Nick Chubb (RB) from Georgia.

Here's an early Top 50 from Matt Miller

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2638036-matt-millers-early-2017-nfl-draft-big-board/page/2

    The OTs from Matt Miller:

    Most NFL-Ready: Cam Robinson, Alabama

    Best Run-Blocker: Cam Robinson, Alabama

    Best Pass-Blocker: Cam Robinson, Alabama

    Best Potential: Cam Robinson, Alabama

Thoughts on how Raiders' needs could shake out in the next 12 months...
    1. Offensive Tackle
    2. Inside Linebacker
    3. Running back
    4. Safety
    5. Cornerback
    6. Interior pass rusher

Any of those 6 could be moved around in differing orders. I'm not convinced interior pass rusher should be all the way down at #6, especially when it seems we have 2 starters at safety and CB each, but I'm just going on my gut that something isn't going to workout in the secondary, whereas there are about 8 guys who can put their hand in the dirt and disrupt the line of scrimmage. Even if that isn't at interior rusher, that makes the need a little less important. Maybe. I don't know.

ESPN sucks. However if we are picking top 5 in the 2017 draft heads will have already rolled. Reggie would and should be fired.

Of course I don't believe we will be picking top 5.

If we are picking top 5 and Carr stays healthy. Connor Cook will be looking real good.

No thanks on Alabama offensive lineman. On paper, OT is going to be a huge need though.

In terms of interior pass rush, I think JDR/Norton have a different vision of what they want from their DT's. Just based on the players they go after, it seems like they prefer guys that can occupy blockers first and foremost. Seattle goes with two fatties and rotates Bennett for inside pressure. I think Denver was pretty similar when JDR was up there and that's how our roster seems to be set up.

I'm kinda thinking the same thing with the "MLB". I'm far from a defensive scheme expert but if we're really embracing the 5-2 look, it seems like the two LB's off the line of scrimmage would be more of the OLB type anyway since they essentially need to split that area in half (with safety help?). Again, this is reinforced with the players we've gone after IMO.

As of now, CB/Safety are positions I think are going to be higher on the list than we think right now. I'm more cautiously optimistic than confident about Amerson not reverting to form, who knows how Smith and Nelson will acclimate, and Joseph's an unknown. As of today, OT and secondary are still our biggest areas of need (with WR being an under the radar need as well) IMO.

RB - draft at least one every year.

Robinson is a monster. Like the Amari of tackles for Alabama.

Love Myles Garrett too, but picking 32 we won't have a chance...

That's okay, we can use the first of the picks we get when we trade down from #5

Definitely a replacement for Penn is in order. I'll be surprised if he plays the entire season
