Jesus does this whole thing frustrate me.
Dude is open all game long.
You would think if that were true Gruden could coach Carr out of his mistakes. Seems to be the same issue we've seen since Washington smacked us in the mouth and made the blueprint...
Those floaters Carr tries to throw off his back foot make me sick. I’d like to slap the shit out of him. He’s in year six still making the same mistakes over and over. That’s who he is. Can’t coach it out of him apparently. And he exhibits the same flaws as he did in college that the “experts” warned about. They were right.
Some things you just can't coach. And now Carr has zero confidence which just magnifies his flaws. Jon isn't so much trying to hide them either. More like throwing him into the deep end of the pool to see if he can swim. Gives me hope that he may just move on.
Yeah the 'haters' are a broken record at this point but the truth is there for people to see.
His mind is made up on where he is going pre-snap and he rarely comes off the first read unless its a dump off to Richard.
The book is out on him for sure. I think the next thing we can kill is the whole 'still developing' idea when a guy is a 28 year old 5th year pro.
You get what you get at this point.
This week Carr lights it up. Then the next game he looks like a scared teenage girl. Rinse and repeat.
It really is the worst scenario. So it probably does happen.
Well realistically that Hag defense isn't very good.
All I hear about is how they are running the ball like Dirty Pete wants but they haven't been stopping people on defense.
So maybe there is a chance?
we'll make them look like the old Legion of Boom
I guess there's a chance that Carr improves with better knowledge of Gruden's system and understanding Gruden's offensive philosophy better. I'm just trying to play devil's advocate to find some plausible reason here: Gruden's system is supposed to be incredibly complex and we are only 5 games into the season. So maybe there's that?
But no one should be holding out hope that this actually happens. There's too big of a track record showing who Carr is and the types of decisions he makes.
but shit like the passes intercepted in the end zone and the throwing off his back foot. That's just poor play, not system dependent.
Sooner or later when things break down you expect your QB to make some plays on his own. I mean look at what Mahomes is doing as basically a rookie. Guy uses his legs to extend plays. Carr is just set in his ways. If he doesn't get it to his first read right away its usually a dump off to one of the backs. Wash rinse repeat.
Lot of lazy floating balls this season. That's just rookie type bullshit
This what Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller stated on Sirius. You have to give Carr time in Grudens system. Problem is we seeing some of the same issues with Carr regardless of what system he’s executing
Carr is a conundrum. I think we all assume that he's getting a mulligan this year. Problem is, after next year his contract is in line with the Keenum's and Tannehill's of the world adjusted for inflation. So then, you have a QB familiar with your system who's contract is inline with a lower tier starting QB. Given the guaranteed money will already be mostly paid out I could see a desire to keep him from Mark and Jon.
Garbage yards...you have to get into the end zone

Fun Fact: Derek Carr is on pace to throw for more than 5,000 yards this season. He is also on pace to throw more than 25 interceptions.
Statistics are for losers. And he's a loser. It is not the system. It's the QB. What do you think the receivers are thinking when they're open and he checks down or throws it away? It can't do much for their confidence in Carr.
They get to a point where they say to themselves this team is going no where with this guy. They start to tune out. They don't want to hear Carr's rah, rah BS and speeches any more.
You know what's worse? He's likely our QB next year, too.
Like you have said, right now with its current build this team is really hard to cheer for.
I know I'm a Carr basher, but I enjoyed watching a no talent jabroni like Gradkowski play more than a guy like Carr with all the talent and no heart. At least he left it all out there and played with some guts.
How does he have 5 yards rushing? I mean just the fear of running for the odd first down would help our offense. I just hate watching everything about this team.
