The Del Rio, Pagano & Norton Thread

Holy shit you guys, do you know what this means? We will now know the intimate details of Philip Rivers and the Charger offense. We fucking poached a division opponent's coordinator. There is now no way we will ever lose to LA because we will now know more about their offense than they do right @DeadRinger?
I'm sure your being sarcastic because why would they keep that shitty offense anyway?

Exactly what I was thinking.Damn you beat me to it.

That's my question. Pagano Assistant HC Defense? What? Who has more power? Pagano or Norton

While Pagano brings experience to the staff, All22.com's Bill Williamson questioned what the move might mean for defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr

The San Francisco Chronicle's Vic Tafur speculated Pagano's focus will mostly be on the team's defensive backs.

Jack should be doing Head Coach duties...that is...overlooking the whole operation on the field. To do so, he has to have coordinators he can trust. We learned he didn't trust either Musgrave nor Norton.

Jack has done well...

- made some good second half adjustments
- had us winning road games and adjusting to the travels east
- identified what this team is lacking
- had this team never giving up despite being behind in most games
- seemed to correct the penalty situation after that horrific penalty filled game
- realizing when something is not working and making changes

That is what I wanted out of him, with the understanding he would have good people around him. I will take his ability to fix the psyche of the team, and depend on those people around him to be the strategists. He would only need game plan approval for gameday.

Reggie then looks over at Del Rio brimming with confidence, winks and says in in the voice of a 1980s Smooth Jaz DJ "Sooooo we good.":D

That's cuz Reggie knows that when he starts taking advice from forum posters (even one's that you know, do research and bring facts), he ends up behind the keyboard posting in the Lil' Al thread instead of actually making real life picks in the draft...

His defense's rankings from 2012 to 2016:

Guessing he's just a glorified quality control coach. He's hardly a DC candidate worth getting excited about.
Excited? Well, the idea of Norton getting help is, like, #Relief.

Don't let us realists break up the parade, lol. Strikes me more as this is my friend, and I'm gonna bring him in more than him getting hired for anything he's done.
Dude spent 15 years in the same organization, under multiple HC. And we are to believe your disparaging ramblings? Who in the fuck do you think JDR was going to get to coach for him to assist Norton?

:chuckle: I guess Reggie doesn't fact check on Wikipedia as our resident researcher fact bringer once suggested that Vin should do.

Fuck Vic. That would be a huge disappointment. Have him scheme, game plan, sit in the booth, and coach Norton.
