Raiders vs Chargers Game Day Thread

"Embarrassing. You're making fools of yourselves in front of the entire nation, for crying out loud." - Tom Flores, on the radio, on Raiders' failed 4th-and-1 try with Derek Carr unable to convert on a QB sneak.

I thought it was also interesting how Rich was talking about Carr’s leadership and what Carr needed to do.

Yeah and he calmly was critiquing him as opposed to laying into him. Last few games he lit into this team a lot. Other than Crabtree and Lynch he really didn’t have much hatred. When I knew it was true? Twitter blows up about 2-3 minutes before Gannon rips Crabtree and “guarantees” he won’t be back next year. Loved it.

We aren’t. On O we need to look at who would replace Crabs draft FA/wise. Develop our dudes at T. Hope Penn can go one more year. Lynch is a ?. I honestly don’t think he’d want to play for Gruden. And vice versa. I could see him hanging it back up. On D we have a ton of youth that should have gotten more PT and a few guys that got injured that SHOULD basically be like getting two #1 and two #2 picks next year. Need to be real lucky there.
I disagree about Lynch and Gruden. Gruden’s teams were heavy with veteran players.

Every season.

I always trade Carr to Cleveland.

I’m gonna admit, I did it once or twice this year too. The last time I did it the Saints let Brees go and I signed him for idk, a fuckin billion madden dollars lol

We need an entire new DL.

Ellis: FA
Autry: FA
Vandy: ACL
MEJ: Ave.
Hester: Ave.
Latham: Bubble

It’s a desire thing more than a vet thing. Lynch runs hard but he really doesn’t seem to care whether they win or lose. I think the guy kinda does what he wants. That’s the part I’m not sure would jive between the two.

Gruden is a 4-3 guy, Mack and Irvin would be DE’s. I could see Ellis coming back and adding a Mo Hurst. That would be a pretty good DL. Ellis is fairly easily replaceable though.

Kind of like locking two alcoholic assholes in a room with a 5th of Kessler, Cuervo and a case of Natty Ice?

LOL that drunk mofo!

Fucking awesome day.

Hopefully we top it off with the news the Davis family sold the team to the Warriors ownership group.

That 4th down throw away was so brain dead. Carr should at least have some game awareness, damn.
I'm really pissed overall about Carr but I give Carr very little blame on this one and blame his receivers for not getting open in over 5 seconds. Carr was scrambling, rolling, looking... waiting... waiting... waiting and even Gannon said there was no where to go. Eventually he ran out of field to even have a chance.

He looked slow this year, like he couldn't really get separation. Never a burner, but DBs were draped all over him. I think he still has a role on this team, but Carr relied on him way too much.
Yea well you seen Seth lately?

IE rebuild well any plan of keeping On promoting Seth Roberts is a bad one. Crabs and Lynch are the only skill players that had more than 4 good games this year. I would personally replace/ fire those other guys first
Rebuild is a bit extreme. I doubt Gruden has interest all of the sudden because we suck on paper. Noticeable talent to build on. But if they can upgrade on the field and on the locker room with Crabtree, they will try to. I don’t know if he’s a good guy in the locker room or not, but that’ll be a big factor in him staying or going
