Raiders/Donkey Post Game Celebration Thread

We fucking owned them at the LOS. All I have been hearing is these NFL talking heads suck off Fangio for months and then noone picked us.

They looked passive disorganized and lethargic. As a Raiders fan I recognize bad coaching when I see it LOL.

Just have Moreau chip on Millers side. Trent can handle anyone solo. Their secondary won’t be able to stay with our wr’s. We should also be able to run the ball down their throats.

Amazing how getting sacked 51 times, having shit for skill position talent, and trying to rebuild one’s confidence in a new scheme makes a guy a bum. :D

He's got years of film that agrees with my side of this argument. We don't want to go there this week no?

#26-21: :chuckle:

Gruden/Carr are the only chance this team has at winning any of the next 5 games, where we are seriously outmanned.

Just win baby.

I re-watched the game this morning and a few observations:

The Good - Defense

  • This defense is WAY MUCH faster than it has been in years past - They read and react - A lot of guys flying around
  • Burfict is an absolute fucking missile - That guy blew up so many gaps last night and was a huge disrupter. Every hit he trys to take away your soul. His ability to read run and his angle pursuit is great. He was the unsung hero last night on that defense
  • Ferrell played a really good game last night - held the edge great and could of had another sack if he would of just kept pressing. Had a key tipped ball, a coverage sack and nothing got outside
  • Conley needs to stay healthy because its a big drop off from him to Mullen
  • PJ was a beast - His push up the middle was on point all night when he wasn't tired. Looks like he needs some additional conditioning. Go back and watch, the centers and guards from the Donks were getting thier shit pushed in all night from PJ
  • Arden Key - same story should of had 3 sacks last night. Dude is so friggen close
The Bad - Defense
  • Guenther quick fucking around with the cover two underneath zone - every time we switched to that we got gashed. Any team with YAC receivers will rip our hole like we saw last night with Sutton and Sanders. When going cover two we played much better when we played man. Hopefully we become stronger as he mixes his cover 6 scheme, having the short side of the field play cover two and the wide side play cover four - there was a mix-up twice with Joyner and Curtis Riley on two key situations
  • When we blitzed we were great - I would have liked to have seen more
  • When the Donks WR's got big plays - we played that underneath zone with no jam at the line of scrimmage
The Good - Offense

  • Many of you already said it. Our O-Line was nasty last night. Our book-ends were fugging fantastic. Two different styles of play. Kolton is not as strong as "Fruit Roll-Up" but he was noticeably a lot stronger. Having to handle more of the bull rush/power technique of Chubster, he let Chubb do most of the work and Kolton played with great leverage and feet. Brown strait stoned Von and it looked like a DB trying to push a sled. He too is fleet of foot for a dude so big. Great to see our backups in Goode and Devey play solid all night long. We got us some depth boys!
  • Waller - Dude looked smooth. Great hands and decent route running. He's only going to get better. What a weapon.
  • Tyrell Williams - Here me out here. He reminds me of a "poor mans" Megatron. Big body guy, who runs decent routes, not great routes, but has the speed to deceive and run by you. Great body position and hands like Velcro. All night long he was on the gas and putting his body in position to make a play. Fantastic hands all night long.
  • Jacobs - first game out as a rookie and picks up two key blitz's <-That's a football player. Runs hard and had a few inside runs where his feet made nothing into something. As this Oline continues to gel, you'll see a lot more cut back and big chunk runs. Great goal line running last night
  • DC threw some pretty balls last night. Great to see his footwork in play. The pass to Renfrow was awesome. The catch was better than the throw, but Carr's ability in that 3rd down situation to slide step, step up and deliver vs. taking the sack our throwing out of the endzone was huge. Him scrambling for 5 on a 2nd down rather than taking a coverage sack was huge. Great game by our Q.
  • Ryan Grant & Renfrow aren't going to give us huge games but they will be KEY all year long moving the chains during critical moments of the game. Great plug and play guys when we go 4-5 wide.
The Bad - Offense

  • Gruden can't take the foot off the pedal and go all conservative and shit. Did anyone watch the Baltimore game? Harbaugh said fuck you, we're up 35 and we're still going play action. Fuck you we're up 42 and we're going fake punt. Gruden needs to reach into his fuck you bag, and run that script for 4 quarters.
  • We looked a little slow to adjust and a little inconsistent when Denver loaded the box. More than once we didn't audible out and ran Jacobs into a brick wall.
  • We have speed but nothing scary fast although JJ might change that when healthy

Question: did the broadcast pick up the “Fuck AB” chants? After every touchdown, but particularly after the first one to Tyrell Williams, the place freakin’ EXPLODED with that chant.
Oh yea!

What a great team win last night. That was so damn fun to watch. You can point out 15 guys that had a serious impact in the outcome tonight. I can't remember a win like this in awhile. Gruden has this team playing hard and wanting to win... I'm excited to see what the season brings.

Carr looked a lot like Gannon running the offense. He slid around the pocket well and made a few nice plays on the move, too. Even picking up that 3 yard run instead of throwing it away like he used to and making it 3rd and 5 instead of 3rd and 8... those are little plays that start to add up as a game goes on. This offense is super dependent on short throws that allow receivers to run after the catch. Dude was deadly accurate last night. This is the Carr I want to see all year... I'll buy his fucking jersey if he does this all year. I loved it man and I'm proud of the way he fought last night.

How about that OL? We dog on Tom Cable but holy fuck I never in a million years would've bet that Chubb/Miller would've been absolutely skunked. Kolton looked like a whole new man out there... athletic, strong, and aggressive. Brown is just a mountain of a man and looked well worth that contract last night. Props to Devey and Good were getting a great push in the middle of that defense as well. Makes me feel better about Jackson being out and having some solid depth. Hudson was a stud as usual, so glad we locked him up.

Jacobs didn't break many big ones but he was strong and consistent and picked up a shit ton of first downs and pounded it into the end zone when we needed it. We hardly even threw him the ball as well... you know Gruden has a few tricks up his sleeve. Great start, kid.

Ferrell had a solid game... nothing special but was grinding. Held contain against the run. Nice to see him come away with a sack even if it was a coverage sack. We would've killed for a few more coverage sacks last year.

Abram certainly packs a punch. Consider me one that isn't that worried about that hit on the sideline. You seriously see that hit a dozen times every Sunday on a runner. Glad to see Conley seems to be okay and hopefully he can get back onto the field soon.

Fair to say that Tyrell Williams and Carr have some solid chemistry already. Carr always seemed to have liked those big bodied receivers and Williams has some wheels as well. I'm excited to see how they keep developing.

Mayowa with 2 sacks. Mauro made more plays last night than Frostee did all last season.

AJ Cole needs to get his shit together in a hurry. Carlson is still cool.

Vontaze Burfict was a beast in the run game. He makes it really hard to run between the tackles. You can see he's always talking to guys around him, too. Our FAs really balled last night... Burfict, Williams, Brown, and Joyner all had excellent games. Devey was solid, too.

Karl Joseph had a few nice plays in the run game. I still worry about him and Abram deep in coverage, though. Big challenge on Sunday.

If you rewatch the game check out Alec Ingold out there. Dude is a brute and did a great job clearing the path for Jacobs.

Returners are becoming obsolete but I feel so much better having Harris back there for the occasional return and just being rock solid catching punts. His big return was big at getting momentum back.

Lots to be excited about but the young talent looked like they belonged last night. Honestly the guy that I was most disappointed in was Conley... Sutton has had his number the last few years. Hope he heals up though and balls out this year. But serious, Ferrell/Jacobs/Abram/Renfrow/Moreau/Ingold/Crosby were all making plays out there and contributed to the win. That's so cool to see. Mullen got put in a tough spot and gave up some plays so hopefully he'll bounce back and, like I said, I want more from Cole.

Man, it just feels good to get this win. I think the team has the confidence to stay in every game. My expectations were tempered going into last night but I'm going to be pretty fucking excited for the next few weeks. I have a chance to go to the Vikings game in two weeks and might just say fuck it and go.

I'm so happy right now. I'm breaking all these Eagles fans balls right now. They can't say shit to me.

I told them you lucky you don't play us because Josh Jacobs would stick a boot in that f a g defense you got lol.

Fucking Raiders win, what's better than that? The whole world can suck our dicks right now.

Chicago being 0-1 is like icing on the cake right now.

God damn I'm happy.

So fuckin true.

If you would have told me that Josh Mauro would be noticeable in a good way I would have told you to fuck off.

Same goes with Kolton Miller on O. Both guys were really impressive.
