LOLLLLLLLOOOLLLLOOLLLLL Man Fuck no.Just made my f’n year..... I always suspected Belichick wasn’t going to retire in Patsyland. This pretty much guarantees he’s gone once Brady retires without any potential franchise qb to backfill..... I guess when you need a franchise qb, there’s no rule saying you have to wait for your current organization to acquire one if you can go somewhere else to coach one.
Raiders v Colts.... Davis v Irsay....
So.... who makes the call to Belichick.... Madden? Mack? Carr?
It might also say something about Belichick, who has been making moves designed to win now. The Patriots traded for players and went after free agents in the past, but those moves were made sparingly. Think about what the Pats did this offseason. They traded a first-round pick for Cooks, who is two years from unrestricted free agency. They signed Stephon Gilmore to a top-dollar deal at cornerback. The Pats didn't deal Butler to the Saints, even if it means getting a lesser pick as free-agent compensation next year. They signed two veteran running backs. in Rex Burkhead and Mike Gillislee.
The only move that didn't jibe with the win-now philosophy was holding onto Garoppolo when the Pats could have gotten a player or draft picks which would have netted them players for the 2017 roster. Now, that has changed, although (barring a trade this week) the player won't join the Patriots until 2018. It's difficult to imagine him doing anything else, but you have to wonder whether Belichick plans to be coaching the Patriots after Brady decides to retire.

belicheat will retire from coaching, why the fuck would he go to some shitty franchise and ruin his legacy. I could see him becoming a bill parcells front office type.
I wonder what this means for Cousins? Everyone figured that it was a no-doubter that he was headed to SF. I’m going to be pissed if that fucker ends up in Denver. I don’t think he’s the type to take you to a Super Bowl, but he’s good enough to be a major thorn in our side for years to come.
Cousins will get paid way more than 13-15.
I’ll guarantee you that.
Nobody wants Kirk Cousins. He's proving right now why you don't pay him that much money.
He'll end up being a stopgap for someone like Jacksonville or Arizona next year, a team that needs a bridge QB for $12 to $15 mil a year.
especially since he's better than Carr
You need multiple teams to go to the $20 to $25 mil a year range for him, and those are all bad teams who have options in next year's draft. Plus he's already 30 years old on top of that. SF was that leverage to do that because of Shanahan. Franchises were quibbling with giving Russell Wilson and Matt Stafford their money, and they're both better. How this year is playing out isn't helping the cause for him.
If people want to sell Carr as a top 10 guy you better look at every single season Cousins has had. Even on a down year this year he’s at 13/4 with 2000 yards. Jameson Crowder as the top target lol.
Washington has to ask the same questions we did.
Can you win the big one with Cousins (or Carr)
They went smart and short term before deciding on the 125+ deal
Hey if Baltimore won with Flacco......
