The Raiders roster is going to need a new OT at some point. Penn is old injured and the RT play has only been decent. Protecting Carr has to be on Gruden's mind. He understands Carr has injury history and needs protection. The OT run blocking has been below average as well. It needs a major upgrade. A draft pick would help the cap bigtime. We've invested tons in OL.

At pick #9/10 we may have a shot at someone worthy. Im not saying this will be the BPA when its all said and done but OL is a position of major need IMO. Gruden is an offensive coach and Carr is currently in need of fixing. What better way to stabilize the offense than another quality OL. Our run blocking outside would benefit greatly as well.

Can KO move outside? Should we draft this beast should he fall? I could see Nelson playing RT too. Not sure why he is only projected at G for a dude 6'5 330. Looks like he could play many spots to me. Thats the kind of flexibility Reggie and Gruden love in OL. Im guessing this guy will be gone by our pick, but you never know. Especially if we get pick #9...

Either way. I plan on looking at some OL prospects and posting shit here.

Quenton Nelson - G - Fighting Irish
Notre Dame redshirt junior G Quenton Nelson finished as the highest rated guard in the country, according to Pro Football Focus.

Not only did Nelson (6'5/315) finish as the highest-rated guard according to PFF, he was 3.5 points ahead of any other guard according to their rankings. It was a dominant season for the redshirt junior, helping Notre Dame rank near the top of the rushing ranks. He's a lock for the first-round at this point -- if there is such a thing as a lock in January -- and there's a real chance that he ends up going in the top 10.

too blazed for game cut ups right now haha - Highlights only for OL right now

Hard not to like Nelson, I'm just not sure if this is the best use of our resources. Although its not like Gabe and KO lit the world on fire last year. I just can't honestly get behind picking a guard.

I know @007 Just draft good players and figure it out later. I don't even think he would be fully behind this pick. I don't think it's as simple as moving KO over to RT or LT. We've had opportunities to do that and didn't make that move.

Only way I could see this move is if we decided to move off of KO and trade him or maybe Gabe. Seems like a bunch of movement to try and fill a possible need at LT or RT in which we just drafted two guys last year..

IMO it's ok to go ahead and draft that LT of the future if we really like a guy early in the 1st 2 rounds. It would also be ok to me if we took on a developmental guy again even if it's a somewhat early pick. Maybe a guy like Chuckwuma Okorafor who has everything you want in a LT except technique.

I think he would be our starter at RT day one. Im gonna watch a bunch more on this guy, but I wonder why he cant play LT. I think its because he was blocked by another 1st round talent LT. He has the size and movement skills. He is pulling around in those videos mauling fools hahah

Worse case you get a All Pro ceiling guard on the cheap for 4 years. And you are correct, the guard play did not light the world on fire last year.

But I'm mostly playing devils advocate. This dude looks like a BPA type who teams will regret passing. Im wondering if any teams will view him as a LT. Seen some mocks with him listed as such btw

But in the top 10, its better to take a dude who has played LT for SURE haha

Im reading 288lbs on this Williams dude. Not exactly what Reggie and company are into typically. But if he can pass block NFL edge rushers teams that dont run ZBS will still be interested. I could see Indy looking at both these guys. Can they afford another Luck injury?

He quite honestly might be one of the 5 best players in the draft. Would be great if a team like Cinci or Miami or even SF (if we are 9) wanted him enough to move up a spot or 2.

Here's Voch on Nelson, Voch is a former O-Line guy so he usually is hard on them. I have not watched it so if you're baked enough to watch it, fill us in.

I know its very early for Indy. But they had the worst guards in the NFL right? Luck could use a guy like that and he mauls in the run game. Im sure they will take a more sexy pick, but they might regret it. If I see a possible All Pro and I need an OL, hard to pass. Again I'm mostly repeating draft hype about this dude, but he seems like a blue chip. Gonna watch a few of his games this week hopefully.

He might of been 288 coming out of high school? I think he is a full grown man now.

Indy could also be in play for Barkley if Browns skip him 1st or Giants skip over him.

Speaking of the Giants, wouldn't it be a damn good pick for them to just go ahead and draft Barkley and see how the QB's fall in the draft. I know this draft is hyped up as being a good QB draft, but I'm wondering if it really is all that good?

Will all of them get over drafted? Could the Giants just wait another year and give Eli a final piece to the puzzle he's been missing a game changing RB?

Maybe instead of drafting the QB see what you have in Davis Webb if Eli is totally done.

Watching Orlando Brown vs Ohio State.

Little Bosa is making him look kinda bad with his outside speed rush. Otherwise, he's showing okay.

Needs to learn to get low. Not sure how hard it'll be for him to learn to play from a 3 point stance, but he's playing too high, begging Bosa to bullrush him so far.

In his defense, the man is 8 feet fucking tall. Still, though.

I had a scary thought...

Chargers drafting Hurst...

I noticed his trouble with speed off the edge also. Connor might be better but he has question marks also and I have not yet watched some of his bad games.

I think this is Connor Williams bad game. He got beat a few times in this one.

Yeah I think his faults are teachable, not even trying to make excuses. Its like he doesnt bend his knees enough in pass pro lol.

I mean he gave up 2 sacks in college I read? And he went through murderers row. Deadly in the run game too.

I'm really, really intrigued by him.

I bet he's a big time riser when all is said and done.

I posted the Bosa/Brown game in another thread. I'm pretty sure Bosas sack came on a stunt or broken play? It wasnt a direct win against Brown.

Bosa is probably the premier edge prospect in college so you are gonna give up the odd play.

I noticed the Sooners will actually pull Brown at times on running plays. It looks a little odd to see a LT that size leading a sweep to the opposite side of the field.
He is a big boy.

The kid that went through murderers row is McGlinchey.
