As it should be. Have a colleague in jail likely serving a 3 year sentence (minimum) for doing the same thing.
Who would want to coach under these conditions? Awful....
Four weeks into the 2019 season, Doug Pederson sat down for his scheduled inquisition.
The Tuesday tribunals with team owner Jeffrey Lurie and general manager Howie Roseman were a weekly occurrence during Pederson’s five-year tenure as Eagles head coach. In the meetings, Lurie and Roseman questioned Pederson about all aspects of his game management the week prior. Fourth-down decision-making, play calling, personnel choices — everything was on the table.
Days earlier, the team overcame a 10-0 second-quarter deficit to beat Aaron Rodgers and the Packers 34-27 and even its record at 2-2. The offensive key to the win was a steady dose of the running game that took advantage of Green Bay’s defensive game plan.
Apparently, that wasn’t good enough. Lurie, who has long advocated the use of analytics, wanted to know why Pederson hadn’t called more passing plays. The interrogation was the same after another win that season — this time in Buffalo on a day with 23 mph winds.
“(Pederson) was ridiculed and criticized for every decision,” one source told The Athletic. “If you won by three, it wasn’t enough. If you lost on a last-second field goal, you’re the worst coach in history.”

Lol. Not if it is what was necessary to land a HC to help him sell out suites in Vegas and sell out 2 lame duck years in Oakland, especially when it is the best HC the team has hired since the HC was traded a won a SB and became a National celebrity on MNF. Mark took the risk that Jon would not do worse than Red/JRD, who had failed to restock a playoff team. Hopefully Gruden delivers. That is pretty bad but what worse is losing and having an owner who is delighted to have his idol as a coach and question nothing while giving said coach absolute authority over everything football related.
I will take Pederson. Gruden can be made VP of Film and Mark's Friendship while Pederson becomes head coach.
Results wise, JDR, Bill Callahan and Huey Jackson were better. Cable guy is pretty close.Lol. If you think any of them are a better HC, I disagree. If you think any of them are a better GM, I disagree. Results wise, JDR, Bill Callahan and Huey Jackson were better. Cable guy is pretty close.
You arent arguing with me. You are arguing with reality. Gruden has a .396 winning percentage since returning. Your argument is with a calculator, not me.If you think any of them are a better HC, I disagree. If you think any of them are a better GM, I disagree.
Red with DA (who you omitted) had one great draft, which led to better results under JDR. Cable & Al had a slow rebuild, and Hue had the same result as Gruden in his 2nd stint after inheriting a team with some talent, then similarly got Al to make bad moves as GM. Callahan lost to Jon in the SB after both inherited teams with talent, then proceeded to prove he was a bad HC and Tresman, as OC, was the upgrade in terms of unleashing Gannon & Co.

Not sure there is anything else to say except buckle up for the next train wreck. At some point results matter, right? And Gruden 2.0 has been a disaster. Despite having five first rounders, our best pick of the bunch is a RB. The defense was statistically and objectively horrid and that was because the moron hired and kept an even more inept guy as DC. Nearly every trade and FA signing has been a disaster. There are almost too examples to count at this point, but signing Witten and playing him while the guy could barely run was an example of everything wrong with Gruden. As to actual coaching, I see a guy that has a predictable and unimaginative red zone package.
After three years, I see a boring predictable, shit ass team with no pro-bowlers, no top shelf young talent, impulsive decision making, no strategy, no identity, and most importantly a crap ass win/loss record. Let's be honest, take away a dumbass owner who thinks Gruden is the love child of Lombardi and Belichick, and the jackass would have been canned one day after the last season ended. Hell, Al would've canned him on the tarmac after Miami game. And honestly, I would've applauded the move.

This is actually the sacred principle of Sleatmath.
Results do matter. JDR won with talent he inherited but he proceeded to earn his pink slip. Red earned his GM of the year consideration with his ‘14 draft and ‘15 offseason but proceeded to earn his pink slip too. But for his 10 year contract, Jon would likely be on his last year.At some point results matter, right? And Gruden 2.0 has been a disaster. No hand wringing necessary. Bryan Edwards and Henry Ruggs both working out with Carr this offseason. It's definitely needed to build that rapport and onfield chemistry.
