Out of the league in 2 years.
The only satisfaction I'm getting on the Cook pick is that Red dry fisted Jerry... everybody knows Cook was his guy to replace Romo... So theres something good that came from that pick
I'll be satisfied only if Connor makes the team and produces if Carr goes down
We drafted at #14, not top 5 this year. If we drafted in top 5 then yes our draft would look better and more exciting. As always we have to wait and see these guys play.

McKenzie: "Can you believe I traded up?" Said Cook was too good to not take a chance on him. #Raiders

Reggie says Cook “was great value still on board. Too good a player not to try and trade up”
In what many draftniks called a relatively-weak draft at the Guard position, Vadal Alexander ranked as the #1 player at his position most of the season on our Positional Rankings, so getting him at #234 feels illegal. Alexander also played RT as a Senior. Run-blocker extraordinaire. Grade: A+
Reggie McKenzie said he would have liked to draft a cornerback, but "didn't work out that way." Wasn't willing to reach.
Ever year on a Thursday in April, an atrocity occurs to ruin the lives of a few poor souls. Men that have spent years playing and training to make it in the NFL, only to have their careers destroyed before they even start. Those frightening words that keep athletes up at night: “….the Cleveland Browns select…”
By donating today we can send flowers, and possibly provide a therapy session for the player who is inevitably going to be a shell of his former self by the end of the night. At the very least it will be used as a bar tab at a Browns Backers bar to quell the tears of grown men and women on a Sunday afternoon.
If he beats out MM then he will be Carr's back up. I know this is unlikely but what if he outplays Carr?
Hmm. That's the question. What if Carr doesn't materialize and continue his improvement? You never know...
Actually, we can't believe you traded up Reggie...
I can. We actually talked about it in another thread. The closer the roster gets to solid, the easier it becomes to trade up and target players.
I still can't believe they're tanking the offense like this, once again miscasting Murray as a lead back. It's unfathomable to me.
Quality depth wasn’t added out of fear over Mario Edwards Jr.’s future. Last year’s second-round pick is dealing with a mysterious neck injury that has cause the team to remain vague about his future. That begs a question. Did concern over Edwards Jr.’s health impact this draft?
Del Rio’s answer was simple and direct.
The Raiders are happy to add depth and strength to this defense, which Del Rio rightly believes is in need of more upgrades. While the starting lineup looks solid, quality depth is lacking at several spots.
“You’ve looked at our depth chart, right? I mean, we still have a lot of work to do on our football team,” Del Rio said. “There’s a lot of opportunity to better ourselves and we’re going to continue to work at it any way we can.
I think the hype surrounding where we are and where we see ourselves as a football team may be in two different places, but we see a lot of work in front of us and opportunity to make it much more competitive at many spots on the roster. That’s really (true) in all three phases.”
Some people think Henry would have been great behind our current OL. I think Murray would be better, assuming he hasn't become permanently shy after getting dinged last year.
When he's confident he's above average. Get him out of the backfield or give him a wide open lane and he'll turn on the jets, which he has. But ask him to squeeze through a tight hole? Nope. Ask him to push a pile? Sorry. Ask him to escape pressure in the backfield? Uhh... No.
If we can keep him clean, he can be a lead back, of a platoon. If we can't keep him clean, he's got to drop to the second back in a platoon only spelling the guy who does something with less. A guy like Washington.
We bulked up the D to keep the O in the game. We bulked up the OL to keep the QB in the game and improve our ability to run the ball with what we had.
It looks like we're managing the roster considering what will be available in the next draft. I'd have preferred a better RB this draft too, but...
I disagree that he is.
