Don't mean to be. Just don't like the pick at #14. Also don't like his height at 5'-9". But he's ours now. I hope he works out.

I've seen him listed at 5-11 205 lbs on older websites & 5-10 193 on the updated draft ones.

I haven't seen him listed under 5-10 anywhere?

He also doesn't look frail to me. Def shorter than you'd like tho, no argument there.

Polamalu was 5'10, 206......he threw his body around a bunch too and didn't start getting nicked up until his later years.

Makes me feel a bit better.

Didn't realize Polamlu was that small.

Gunna look funny with Joseph standing next to Smith and Amerson though...

    Exactly!

"That you're nickel back bruh? Covers slot receivers?"

    "Naw bruh, that's our safety."

    "Safety? Bwahaha-" whump!

Recoils from smelling salts, "Yeah, I can see that. What? Two fingers, bruh."

I could see this being where Elway falls apart. He hit on a few key players in the draft but free agents were crucial to their success and now there's no HOF QB to rely on to recruit. Trading up for an iffy QB prospect reeks of desperation from Elway.

If Joseph is 6'1/215lbs, he is the first pick.

Wouldn't that have made him look shorter? Should have gone with a buzz cut.

Not real concerned about his measurables. As has been reported, a LOT of very good safety's have been sub-6 feet and right around 200 lbs. Tatum, Polamalu, Earl Thomas, Ed Reed, etc., etc. If you can play...you can play. Plus, we've all saw his highlights, just straight up stoning (or, Tunseling?) fools. And not once during his career did he get injured (it was during a mid-week practice, non contact freak type thing). It would be different if he was always out with shoulder, ankle or knee injuries - that's when I would be worried. So his body-structure looks like it can absorb ALL these hits. I mean the cat had 42 straight starts while playing like a mad man..

    Oakland Raiders
Draft pick:Karl Joseph (No. 14 overall)
    Day 1 grade: B
The skinny: Joseph is a very talented player who certainly deserves first-round consideration. He did miss a lot of last season over a non-contact injury, however. And was the 14th pick too early to secure his services? If he turns out to be another Earl Thomas, then the answer is a resounding "no."

Completely different style of player though... the Polamalu comparison is probably closest.

Whateves. I'd rather have a short beast than a physical specimen like Dorsett that's allergic to tackling.
